We sat down to an absolutely wonderful picnic on the grounds in front of the conservatory. pierrotseven made all the food and it was indescribably delicious! Here is danaeaphreal enjoying herself at our lovely picnic.
After our picnic, we went into the conservatory. Even I, who am not a big fan of nature, was blown away by the beauty of all the gorgeous plants they had growing inside...
After the conservatory closed, we wandered around the park taking more photos!
Then hellowonderland found a tree ripe for climbing. Of course photos ensued!
Our day ended in a gorgeous pizza parlor full of wonderful antiques salvaged from Victorian-era buildings that were being torn down all over the city in the 1970s and 80s and tasty Chicago-style deep-dish and stuffed pizza!
AND NOW FOR SOME OUTRIGHT SILLINESS!!!
HAY DANAE, how much do you love that punch your gf made? ...Wow, that much eh?
pierrotseven says, "I know our conservatory is in the middle of the city, but did we really need a steel and construction-light themed piece of modern art in the middle of the place? UGH!"
Look! Lady Flowers! The official flower of the lolita-- they're even pink!
Outside in the park we find an interesting sign. "Anachronism?" asks pierrotseven, "What on earth does that mean?"
ALICE! DON'T FALL OUT OF THAT TREE!
"FINE! You won't leave the tree?" threatens miyu_sakura, "We'll MAKE you come out!"
So that's it! We had tasty food, we were in people's wedding photos, we made friends with a large dog who was digging for buried treasure-- it was a wonderful day!
