This is osakaneko's photo; I would have taken my own, but my camera is playing up right now. >.<
I bought this red wine velveteen skirt from osakaneko ages ago. I love it to death - it's beautiful and sultry and very wintery looking. Although the lace looks white there, its actually more off-white. The thing is, the only ways I can think to co-ordinate it seem sort of typical and I'd like to push the envelope a bit, so I need some help. D:
My first thought was to pair it with a white blouse, white stockings, and black shoes... but trying it on, it just looks sort of boring and plain. I figure that I have to stick with white/off-white/black/red, but I'm just not sure how to marry them together.
If I could, I would love to end up with an outfit as dynamic and interesting to look at as this:
My skirt is almost the same colour as the jacket. I was thinking I should try and "invert" this co-ord with my skirt. So, I should go for a black top with red/white motifs and such... but yeah, I really need help as I'd really like to wear my skirt sometime!
edit: Forgot to mention, my style is classic.
I'd appreciate lots of suggestions! ;-;
