Mostly x-posted from my journal. ^^
As you can tell, I distributed free hugs, today. ^_^
So today I went back to Harajuku. You can see what I was wearing, more or less... No need to tell you about it. I got there, and was just sort of walking around by myself.
Shortly after this video:
The guy who waved at me, and I was like, "Hey, that guy played here yesterday," it's because I was confusing him with someone else from yesterday, but he was actually the 'Free Hugs' guy. So after I took that video, I went over to talk to him (he barely spoke any English) and got a hug from another guy who was there. The other guy actually spoke English. His name is Hao. In the picture up top, he's at the bottom right, the asian guy.
So he and I talked for a bit, and I was like, "How do I get a sign?" and he was like, "Just make one." And I said, "Where do I find the materials?" at which point the original Free Hugs guy (whose name was Hikari, if I remember correctly) gave me one of his signs, the pink one. I carried it proudly, and still have it.
The story of the guy at the bottom left is that his name is also Austin. He's from Texas. I dunno what he was doing in Tokyo, but he lost a bet, which is why he had to wear a maid costume for a day. He was really cool, and we bonded over hugs and the fact that both our names were Austin.
The girls at the top right were friends of Hao's, and I didn't really get to know them very well. And the two asian people next to me I didn't know at all. They didn't even have signs. They were just chilling with us.
Anyway, moving on... Time for another video!
This was taken at the top of Takeshita Doori, across the street from the Harajuku JR station. The video starts looking down Takeshita Doori, and pans around to where the station is, and then back.
After that, I wandered over to Laforet, which is a ginormous department store place, where each brand gets their own little mini-store.
I'm so happy with this picture. There were these two little rotund lolitas, and I don't know what one of them is drinking, but it's a freaking hilarious picture.
This is where I was sitting when I took that picture, behind the sign that says 'Stigmata'. That's also where I was sitting when I took this next video.
This one's pretty self-explanatory, though I'll give a little narration. I didn't take much footage of the Loli floor, because people were starting to give me looks. They could tell that I had a camera, but they didn't know I was recording. And it was like they were just waiting for me to raise the camera like I was going to take a picture so that they could jump on me. That's why I ditched when I did. Meanwhile, from right to left, the stores are as follows: Commodor (or some similar name... They sell hats), Stigmata, H. Naoto, Angelic Pretty (all the way at the far end of the hall), Atelier Pierrot, Alice and the Pirates, and Black Peace Now.
After that, I went back to Cosplay Bridge and took another video, and got more free hugs. ^_^
If you look closely in this video, you can see the guy sitting on the floor take a picture of me, and then give me a thumbs-up. It's right before I say that some guy took a picture of me.
Now for a few random pictures!
This is what I was wearing. I think it looked pretty good, but that's just me.
I dunno why, but I just liked this shot. It's my room, obviously. The jacket was made by missmeganmaude, in case anyone likes it.
Hope everyone enjoyed, and didn't think that I rambled too much, or that it didn't have enough to do with Lolita! <grins>
