I didn't want to terrify them by going TOO crazy with ruffles and frills (plus the party is outdoors and it will be HOT). I think I did apretty good job coming up with something that can be both cute semi-casual party wear, and a great lolita outfit with the right accessories.
This took me about five hours to make.
...my camera's battery is dead. XD
Oddly, the fabric is NOT purple as it looks in the pictures-it's all black with scattered cherries on it. The fabric and the lace are the exact same color IRL. Though I guess it's kinda good that my camera lightened the fabric, you can see the details better ^_^.
This is a two-piece set. I like to mix coordinates and separates are great for that ^_^.
Back-cute for summer, no? It is shirred, though youc an't tell . Yay cellphone pics.
Detail of skirt-I swear half the time it took to make this was weaving that ribbon through the lace. -_-;; Too bad i'm such a sucker for details.
And the top! IS it just me or is the ruffle on the right side slightly longer than the left? XD I"ll have to fix that before I wear it tomorrow.
Anyway, just wanted to share. I'm sure I'll get some pics of my coordinate tomorrow, so of course I'll post those too. ^_^
