I used the metro to go to the Bastille with my family (a big disappointment but whatever) and then used the Baby map and a map of Paris to find the store. It took a little till I figured it out (I'm just dumb) and I was sure I didn't lead my family to god knows where.
So, it was actually easier to find than I imagined. My heart beat a little faster when I saw the store, my mother's negative comments weren't that nice but I ignored her.
My family and I crossed the street and stood in front of the pink store. A guy and a girl were in it and I gathered all my courage and stepped in. Haha, it sounds corny but it was a really special moment.
Guy (I will call him manager guy, so MG. Wore cool jeans. No aristo/dandy/kodona/AatP) and Lolita-chan (dressed in a black jsk, a white blouse, black socks and black flats) greeted me and I went looking.
There were some rare items, I think.
Marie Antoinette blue OP (my father, dear that he is, loved it but we all agreed it was over the top. Curses.) 374 euro worth.
" " red OP
Blue parfait skirt
Off-white/ivory/? Red Riding Hood JSK
Pink Red Riding Hood OP
Not too many headbows, bxw and black. No white. I was a little disappointed. 2 headdresses with rhinestones and the heartbags (161 euro), a plush heartbag and the guitar case bag. 4 umbrellas, I think I didn't see any socks.
About the prices. They made me gulp a little but after I while I got used to them! Skirts are around 170+, JSKs around 200+ and OPs... 300? I forgot. A bxw headbow was around 31 euro. Well, the prices are not that bad. Shipping from Japan to Europe is pricey and customs are like harpies here. And if you have to pay for the bank fee then I guess it evens out.
My father bought me a bxw JSK (we decided that a JSK is a little more worth it than the wine red skirt) and said how nice everything was and what a quality (my sister and mother waited outside, they weren't comfortable in the store and kind of meh. Let's forget about them) and generally liked it here.
MG and my father talked a bit while Lolita-chan busied herself with wrapping up my JSK. She wrapped it in light pink tissue paper, taped it together and then put it into a big, pink Baby store bag. I got a postcard with Misako on it and the spring&summer catalogue.
Then I had to fill out a form, writing down my address and so on and that Baby store has a points card, too. It tempts me to go to Paris. >_> Evil thing.
For every 30 euro you spend you get 1 point. The card has 20 points you can reach and if you have the full amount you get 30 euro off your purchase. MG explained that to me in adorable broken Engrish. Awww!
All in all, it was a great experience! I guess next time I have holidays (in summer. buuuh) I will visit my father when he has to go to Paris. I fear for my money.
ETA: I wanted to add that I was the only customer in it during the whole time. Is it that quiet all the time or a bit more busy when there are no holidays?
