Earlier this month, the wa_lolis met up with the orlolipops in Portland. Part of the meetup was a loli gift exchange, but I had been crazy-busy procrastinating on my law school applications and didn't get my gift done in time. This skirt was made for saabisu who is impossibly skinny (this barely fits my dressform, even with a few inches of elastic in the back. How hideously unfair :P) In the spirit of meetup gift exchanges, I'm posting pictures here for virtual sharing :)

(not sure if it looks better with a black blouse or a white one. I'm terrible at coordinating.)

Detail of the front and print. I absolutely adore this fabric; I wish I could photograph it better. They're little bunnies and tiny flowers on a black field.

Ruffles go 'round the back...

...Aaaand -- there's no matching headbow because this was literally all the fabric I had left over. This was either poor planning or mad cutting skills on my part. (Remember that episode of Project Runway in which they had to use every square inch of fabric they bought? Yeah, I'm good at that challenge.) At any rate, if you're curious this design takes exactly 2 yards of fabric and 6.5 yards of trim :)
