Hello, and welcome to my third wardrobe post! My previous two posts can be found here and here. I have changed out a number of my core pieces since the last one, so an update was sorely needed. I really underestimated how much reformatting I had to do, so just please humor me and pretend it's still the evening of the 31st.
This past year, my wardrobe finally reached what I would call a “moderate” size. Not to say that it's very large, but it is significantly larger than before. Basically, I reached a point of extreme boredom with my style earlier in the year and started to branch out more as well as buy more frequently. I still am all about somber, antique-feeling solids though, so although many of my pieces are different, I don't think I've experienced a style shift so much as ... enhanced what was already there?

A few rambly wardrobe-related reflections --
1. Overall, 2019 was pretty alright in terms of both new releases and secondhand hunting. I found some things I really wanted and thought I would never get, and fulfilled a few goals, like getting my first Seraphim dress. I was able to collect a few more of my favorite JetJ pieces as well, which I'm incredibly happy about. I really want to support JetJ more but I'm sorry, I only love the old solid things, and that's a a dying market.
2. This year, I decided to embrace the fact that I am 100% a solids person and sell off just about all of my remaining printed pieces. I don't care if that's boring -- I want to think outside of the standards of this fashion more and focus on what I really want, which honestly feels more lolita-adjacent than anything else. Currently, I am gravitating towards things with more of a mature "aristocrat with questionable alliances" vibe, but I think that's always been the case. Also, I am really starting to appreciate simpler gothic dresses (like some of Na+H's designs).
3. I think I will say this every time I post, but I'm still depressed about Excentrique. I half joke about it, but I actually feel an intense wave of nostalgia and sadness over them every now and then. I'm just going to take a moment to appreciate that they got me into this fashion and built my whole foundation for it. Two years out now and things haven't been the same.
