Wardrobe - ClassicalBotanist
Please forgive any formatting errors or other mistakes, I've never posted on livejournal before and I really hope I'm doing the cut correctly. My wardrobe is pretty small and somewhat scattered, as I've only been in the fashion for a few years, but I figured the small size made it easier to photograph anyway so I might as well start now. I've also just started an instagram @classicalbotanist, which I am posting these wardrobe photos to as well for now, and would love to follow other folks who enjoy jfashion there.

Main Pieces
This year I have really started settling into a particular style, and tailoring my wardrobe more in a casual classic direction, emphasising floral prints. I also have a decent amount of outlier favorites I plan to keep even though they don't match this theme, plus some extra pieces I'm not so sure about.

1. Florals/classic. My college degree and day job are plant and soil science related, so I'm partial to all things botanical, including prints/patterns.

Victorian Maiden "Classical Bouquet Tiered Skirt" in beige. One of my most worn skirts, I really love this pattern, and the sage green details being brought out in the lacing. Green is a rarer color in lolita but one of my favorites to wear in any fashion/style.

Victorian Maiden Floral "High Waist Bustle Skirt" in blue. I don't know if this specific pattern ever had a name, but it shows up in several older pieces.

Victorian Maiden "Rococo Bouquet" JSK with tiered bottom (not sure of the name of this dress) in blue. Photographed here without an underskirt, but it's a nice way to tie in blouse or accessory colors in the skirt section of coords with it.

Victorian Maiden "Rococo Bouquet High Waist Bustle Skirt" in pink. Photographed with the pink RB pearl choker as well.

Victorian Maiden "Rococo Bouquet Brigid JSK" in peach. Plus the peach RB bolero, in the upper right detail shot.

Victorian Maiden "Adele Bustier" JSK in ivory.

Victorian Maiden "Victorian Queen Gather Scalloped Skirt" in black, with matching capelet.

Millefleurs high waisted floral corset skirt. I don't have a name on this as I bought it secondhand and it's not on lolibrary, but I love the vibrant teal/green and the bright pink against it!

Victorian Maiden "Cotton Gather Under JSK" in brown. These dresses aren't a floral per say, but I pair this and the pink one with the peach rococo bouquet bolero above sometimes, and still fits the classic vibe.

Victorian Maiden "Cotton Gather Under JSK" in pink. The bodice looks a little odd in this pic but it's just because of how it was sitting on the dressform.
2. Night sky themed
2. Night sky themed

Haenuli "A Full Moon Night JSK". This was the first lolita dress I bought after seeing a friend wear it, and still is special to me. On the size small, the moons are slightly off center but I don't mind a bit of asymmetry.

Innocent World "Fantasy Night Sky Bustle JSK".

Angelic Pretty "Twinkle Sky JSK".
3. The Secret of Kells. Okay... so, I really love illuminated manuscripts, and the Book of Kells in particular. "The Secret of Kells" is also my favorite movie, and reminds me of the half year I lived in Ireland. Dress wise, I think this print is beautiful, and it's pretty nice quality for taobao. Durable, washable, lightweight, and cheap enough that I feel comfortable wearing them out to places I might be nervous to take other more expensive brand pieces. Anyway, that's why I have 5 versions of this print, and would buy another skirt or two in other colors if they pop up.

Knight Night "The Secret of Kells Underbust JSK" in red.

Knight Night "The Secret of Kells Underbust JSK" in green. This was my dream cut/color of this print and I'm happy to have gotten it.

Knight Night "The Secret of Kells JSK" in white.

Knight Night "The Secret of Kells Skirt" in green.

Knight Night "The Secret of Kells High Waist Skirt" in white. This is a few sizes too large for me, but I hope to alter it to better proportions to make it more wearable.
4. Outliers. Some of these I wear more regularly; some, not at all.

Moi meme Moitie "Archangel Print Skirt".

Atelier Pierrot JSK in black. Not sure of the name. I enjoy black-on-black texture details.

Violet Fane "The Funeral" skirt. I've worn this to work and none of my coworkers noticed the coffins. I guess I could include this with the floral pieces thematically, but it's still more a print than a pattern.

Dear Celine "Endless Vow" Open Front OP, plus matching headbow. I also have the capelet and choker from this set. It's quite a bit OTT compared to what I usually wear, so haven't found myself reaching for this hardly ever despite enjoying the print. I'm still debating if I want to keep it or let it go. If another simpler stained glass piece comes up in a style/color I like, I may buy that and sell this.

ZJ Story "The Graveyard of the Dragons" skirt. The lack of legs on the dressform really collapses the petticoat into an awkward shape here, oops. I bought this on reservation early on in getting into lolita, and even by the time it arrived a few months later I found it already didn't fit my style well. The length and dramatic print also bring this skirt pretty far from casual, and so I've never worn it. I haven't sold it mostly out of laziness and not being sure anyone would be interested in it.

Lastly, SouffleSong/Neverland "Mermaid" print corset skirt. Again something I bought when first getting into lolita but do not wear now. While I love both black & gold and mermaids, it just doesn't fit what I have ended up enjoying wearing. Another piece I should really sell off.

Blouses
I own a lot of cutsews/casual tops as I tend to dress down most of my main pieces, however some of my favorites are the fancier ones. I've included detail shots for just a couple of them but most will be just the front image and mirror reflection to show the back.

Neverland "The Stars Like Dust." I'll wear this one with normie jeans or leggings too.

Moi meme Moitie. The ruffle on this looks great with skirts and underbust JSKs, and I love the lace sleeves. My favorite dark blouse!

Atelier Pierrot "Half-Sleeve Shirring Blouse".

Atelier Pierrot "Rose Off-Shoulder Shirring Blouse". It has quite dramatic (for me) hime sleeves.

Alice and the Pirates "Twinkle Lame Chiffon Cutsew".

Axes Femme.

Axes Femme. Can you guess my favorite casual/non-lolita-specific brand yet?

Atelier Pierrot, with and without the removable neck bow/ribbon.

Alice and the Pirates "Lacy Pullover". This is the only jfash top I've ever owned where the sleeves are TOO long by several inches. If you're very tall this might be a great blouse option for you.

Alice and the Pirates "Scheherazade", my favorite blouse. Very difficult to capture on camera, but inside the puffy chiffon outer sleeves, there is a fitted inner sleeve of lace. A very beautiful and subtle detail that looks amazing in person.

Jesus Diamante.

Krad Lanrete "The Phantom of the Opera Chiffon Blouse". I was hiping this would be a dark true red like the official images for it, but it's more wine/burgundy toned in person.

Baby the Stars Shine Bright "Back Pin Tucked Blouse".
Extras
Capelets, boleros, and outerwear that hasn't already been included in with the main pieces.

Alice and the Pirates "Anastasia Lace Mini Cape"

Baby the Stars Shine Bright "Floret Lace Bolero"

Axes Femme bolero

Black Peace Now capelet with hood

Dear Celine "Endless Vow" capelet and choker

SouffleSong/Neverland "Corset Overdress"

ZJ Story "The Graveyard of the Dragon" Overdress. I had hoped the edges of this would be closer to gold, but are more of a light tan. I find it hard to wear now as it doesn't match black/gold the way I hoped, and the tan looks a bit odd with solid blacks or other prints.

Metamorphose "Double Button Coat and Cape" in black. Last but not least, my winter wear. I love this coat so much, both with and without the capelet and belt. It's cozy warm and I really like long legnth coats in general so it's great to have one that covers past my knees.
Acessories
I didn't take individual/many photos of things, and left a lot out. I have several shoes, bags, parasols, and some other items I forgot to take photos of before I started traveling for the last/next week. I have several pairs of tights, socks, etc that are kept with my normal wear also so didn't make it into these photos. But here's a shot of the tote bin I keep jfash specific legwear/accessories in and what all is inside it, minus some duplicates and bows stored with specific blouses/dresses.

Assorted accessories (the odd shape top right is a hat band), my bin o things that sits on my dresser, and assorted legwear.

That's all! My wardobe is pretty small, and absolutely has some weak areas, but I'm going to work on rounding it out with more cohesive accessories, legwear, bags, etc over the next year, and only buy main items that match what I've actually found myself wearing often.
