Hennrie's Wardrobe 2019

Hello! I’ve been looking forward to making another one of these, but of course I left things until the end of the month again. In terms of main pieces, my wardrobe hasn’t grown too much since my last post since I sold several things. Stylewise, I’ve also mostly stuck to collecting VM and dark/muted solids. But I was able to round things out a lot by focusing more heavily on blouses and accessories, so I’m much happier with it than I was a year ago. Plus I managed to get a few dream/wishlist items, so that helps!

I had always wanted a huge, dramatic hat, so I tried making one the “proper” way for a cosplay so that I could repurpose it later. Also, I was happy to come across Faerybirdtale last year, since so few brands make Victorian-style hats of this quality.

It’s too bad because one of my wishlist finds (kind of) was a pair of the VM rose lace tights, which are now my favorite.

To end things, I wanted to reflect briefly on a few relevant 2018 highlights: 1. I got better at doing makeup (it’s actually made a big difference in how I feel about dressing up). 2. VM isn’t dead(??). 3. I had the chance to model for Moitié and Atelier Pierrot, and saw both designers in person. 4. I got more involved with the community aspect of the fashion, thanks in large part to using more social media, and met/made friends with some truly amazing people.
