Brand Quality Goofs

I went to a meetup on Sunday with my comm and over brunch something came up regarding brands.

One girl commented that some of the big name brands have sometimes let the quality of their garments slip down the drain. For instance, sometimes prints aren't printed into the fabric, just rolled on and will eventually fall right off. There have also been cases where a garment felt cheap in real life, socks falling apart in the wash, prints about as clear as a forest viewed through drunk goggles, etc.

This girl also commented that there seem to be only three brands who are still committed to quality: Victorian Maiden, Innocent World and Atelier Boz.

What do you think about quality of big name brands? Have there been serious goofs that've made you reconsider doing business with them? What about indie brands?
