iPhone Backgrounds - Angelic Pretty & BtSSB

Hi everyone!

I don't think we've met before. My name is Abigail and I'm from Argentina. I've been a long-time lurker of this community, but I finally have something to contribute!

I just posted some fresh iPhone backgrounds to my blog and thought I would share here. I made six Angelic Pretty and two Baby the Stars Shine Bright BGs using the graphics the brands themselves provide and Photoshop. I know some of these prints have been made into backgrounds before, but I hope you guys don't mind that I made my own versions!

Here's a preview:

I hope you like!

Once you follow the cut, you can right-click the images and open them in a new tab to see them full-size, and then save them to your computer to send them over to your phone! :)

Bodyline Shoe Sizing and Reviews?

Hi everyone! I have a question to ask. I'm wondering about Bodyline's shoes since I was thinking about buying some cute Mary Jane style flat pump shoes for Lolita (and other things).

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct2.asp?id=4179&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_9&noSubType=N
http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct2.asp?id=6414&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_4&noSubType=N
http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/showProduct2.asp?id=6171&pageNumber=1&pageStop=stop_5&noSubType=N

As you can see, I don't like heels and prefer flats or pumps (Mary Jane style shoes were always my favorite). I can't walk in those skinny pointed heels very well and it's too painful walk in for long.  I was thinking about these in pink or white or black (which color is best?)
Also, a few questions about the sizing:
-do they run big or small?
-are they even good quality? (I've ordered from Bodyline before and it seemed good.)
-what size should I get if I'm like a size US 6~7 (6.5 commonly) and my feet are 9.25 inches/23.495cm long?
Would 23.5 be good idea or should I try going up or down?

Thanks!

Lolita One Liners || Jokes and Pick-Up Lines!

So...in spite of my avatar, I'm actually a rather corny person! I grew up on old PC adventure games that gave you a silly line whenever you died! I wanted to start a a thread for Lolita jokes (or even lolita pick-up lines) that would make people giggle. Here are a few that came to mind:

Which classic, American actor was influential to the Lolita style?  Marlon Burando

Which condiment do Punk Lolitas swear by when making sandwiches? Putumayo

Who's number is constantly being asked for by Lolitas? Max Bust (Inspired by Sh*t Lolitas Say!)

What did the coroner warn against as a common cause of death among Lolitas? Choking on food that was laced.

What do you call a crybaby Lolita? A Walolita!

Why do Lolitas have poor eyesight? Because Baby, The Stars Shine Bright

Why do Lolitas seem so scholarly? Because they are known for their AP scores!

What do you ask a Elegant Gothic Aristocrat who is in a hurry? Why all the hustle and bustle?

What makes the best hot chocolate? Rococoa!

Haruju, kutie pie?

I'm sorry guys!! >w<

Angelic Pretty kittens & high tea print

Hi everyone!

I saw an update a little while ago about a new AP release featuring little white cats having high tea. Since then I haven't been able to find it anywhere! I heard that it was only going to be released at an AP event, but I am very keen to get my hands on it somehow! If anyone knows anything about how to get hold of it, could they please let me know?

Thank you!

Looking to collaborate with a photographer in Florida~

Hi hi! This is actually my first time posting here, ever - so I apologize in advance if I've done something wrong ^__^;

Collapse )

I'm the owner of the indie brand, Elegy, and am currently looking to collaborate with a talented photographer in the Jacksonville, Florida area. One of my models is located here and we’ve recently had some issues with our current photographer (nothing big - it’s just that she lives several hours away, so getting shoots together has become exceedingly difficult). We’ve tried working with a few others who aren’t familiar with Lolita fashion, and the results were... less than desirable (Yes, one of the photographers actually made my model curtsy ;__;).

Which is why I’m posting here.
Note that I’m located in Ohio, and currently have a system set up with my model in Florida, so you’d mainly be working with her irl. She’s gorgeous, photogenic, easy to work with, and actually knows how to model, so you won’t need to worry about “posing” her. Both the model and my work can be found in my shop HERE, as well as these galleries HERE and HERE.

I tend to shoot with this particular model monthly, so it'd be an ongoing/regular thing. Your photography would be featured in my shop,  blog, facebook, and all the internetz.
Please comment or pm me if you’d be interested! If you’ve got a portfolio or some examples of your work, feel free to link me ^_^ Please note that this isn't exactly paid work, so this may be a great opportunity to expand your photography portfolio & collaborate with an indie brand~
