'Test-driving' shapes?

This might sound really, really silly to some people, but with new customs laws to think about, shipping prices steadily rising, the ever-deflating dollar and euro, and the ridiculous strength of the yen, I started to really re-think slapping my money down for something I have never even worn, on a whim. So I started to think of a way to 'test-drive' head-wear before I went and payed for something that might not even suit my face shape.

Answer my EGL Survey?

Hello ladies! I have a strange request! I'm helping some out-of-town friends out with some EGL themed events at an upcoming convention, and one of the panels is an EGL version of "The Match Game". Basically I need lots and LOTS of people to answer the following lolita-themed survey for me, so I can start calculating the most popular answers for the various questions. If you have a few minutes and can fill it out for me, I'd be much obliged!

Your answers can be serious, silly, whatever really! Ideally I need something like 100 people to fill this survey out so I can have the most accurate results. You don't have to put your email address or username (unless you want to) so don't worry, you aren't going to get spam or anything like that. ^^ (The reason I am using a form is so that all the results will be kept neatly in my inbox, and answers will be kept secret from anyone that might be attending the convention.)

Here is the link!

Thank you again!

(Mods, if this isn't allowed, I apologize and feel free to delete it! ^_^7)

Hi all,

It just occurred to me that one might be able to make lace using some soft tulle and a decent embroidery machine. I made a quick online search but found mostly sites about crocheting. Has anyone tried embroidering your own lace? How were the effects and did you meet with any unexpected outcomes or difficulties?

Hope to read about your attempts soon !

My Lolita Closet

I guess people are getting tired of these, but after seeing everyone post their closet I've been inspired to be more active in the community.

I started to really buy Lolita things in 2011. I really have gone crazy for Baby the Stars Shine Bright because I am studying in France - one hour away from Paris! I am from Tennessee, USA so I am spoiled with so many lolitas and stores in France! I have made many French friends with the fashion, and it has also opened many doors in my life (and my wallet XD). So it is very special to me.
