I love looking at other people's closets and the brand jiten, although I tend to post only when I want something from Katherine's shop. I wonder, do other people use poupeegirl to organise their closets? I use mine to decide what I want to buy next or sell, and sometimes I use it to decide what to wear tomorrow or on meetups. I've heard of a lolita who used her poupeegirl as proof of ownership for her dresses, and managed to get most of cost/money back from insurance when there was a fire.
I just wanted to introduce myself - I am an Australian-based textile and fashion designer, and I am releasing a range of original prints this year with a sweet/punk theme, called the Sugar Punk collection.
Here is an example of one of the prints:

In Novemember I participated in a group reserve for some angelic pretty replica cardigans, I paid the deposit and then the seller lost touch with me. I waited too long to get my money back but I officially filed a complaint and asked for my money back. The 8th is the first time the seller has contacted me, even though I'd been trying to get into contact with her for a month and had given up on ever hearing from her again or getting my money back. The only reason she contacted me was to bill me for the rest of the cardigans! All she said was "Sorry about the delay."
I'm livid, I no longer think she's a reliable seller and I don't want to do business with her any more. I'm not the only person from the order who has had issues, most people filed claims in time to get their down payment back.
My question is, would I be in the right if I refused to pay the rest of my order and asked for my money back (again)? She made me a commitment when she offered a service, and the service wasn't provided in the way she said it would be.
I'm confused as to what to do, as I REALLY don't want to do any more business with her anymore because I know I can't trust her.
What would you guys do?
Style wise, a little realistic and not too "cute" or "chibbi."
With the hope that if I like them, their style, and their service etc, I can continue to commission the artist for more clothes that fit the dolls.
Here's the problem, aside from finding this guide on Deviantart (http://arynchris.deviantart.com/journal/How-to-Commission-an-Artist-214212067), I have absolutely no idea where to go to commission any artist for something like this. I also do not want to go through egl_comm_sales. I obviously want someone who is punctual and perhaps who has taken commissions before, so they know what to expect. But I don't want them to be too expensive, especially for the dolls since they are my starting point, and since I'd like to afford commissioning multiple things from them. And lastly, I'd like for them to be able to do more than lolita clothes; maybe a few silly costumes or a nice suit or something?
Hope I've given enough information to get some suggestions or recommendations. ^_^;;

I decided to ask the community that I know buys online stuff all the time AND that is my main target for the sale: EGL.
Is there any Paypal alternatives that you know of and would recommend?
English site hasn't been updated yet, but you can check out the Japanese site in the meantime.
Edit: I'm sure ok to put in your orders copy/pasting from the Japanese site. They probably just ran out of time to load the English sale page today.
I hope you enjoy my wardrobe. I bought my first item around February 2011. I've documented brand/some offbrand things that I wear the most with lolita :
I have a Btssb Wizard of Oz skirt in pink and want to try to find a matching headbow. I was wondering, do Baby use the same shade of pink across the board with their items, so in which case I could get any Baby bow and it would match?
Thanks for looking :)
As I'm sure you have noticed, Fanime registration is up! With that being said, I've decided to help organize the Lolita Panel and Fashion Show again! I'll be working with maroonsparrow , ivyfrozen , janitors from the community to organize this.
I'm sure you're wondering "Well where do we fit in with this?" I'll tell you!
We will be looking for models and designers to be a part of the show! We would like designers to have at least 3, but no more than 5 designs to showcase. I will also need designers to have products near completion (80%) and photographs sent to me by May 11th.
We will also need an adequate amount of models for all the designers involved. Models will need to be over 18 (for any legal issues) as well as being available both Saturday May 26th and Sunday May 27th. I will have more information on that aspect when we has said designers verified, until then please make a mention that you would like to model on this post, and send an email with the information listed below to Fanimelolitapanel2012 [at] gmail [dot] com
- Model or Designer (in the Subject Line)
- LJ Name
- Phone Number (Cell preferably so we can get a hold of you at con)
We'd love to showcase our great community with this show, so participate if you can! <3
I've read many reviews of F+F and Bodyline, and usually it comes to the fact that that quality is so-so. Should I be first investing in amazingly-amazing dresses first? Once and awhile I browse AP, though I've read the english site doesn't have good service.
I don't know, y'all.
Some questions about items from Dream of Lolita and Rose Melody.
First question: Dream of Lolita AP mermaid replica
Does anyone know if this OP can be custom sized? It's juuuust barely my measurements and I don't want to be squeezed into it.
Second question: Rose Melody Love of Swan Lake Skirt
Does anyone know if there's any place to buy this print other than Qutieland? I fell in love with the print but it's not listed on the Rose Melody site (I'm assuming it's because it's a "limited edition").
I noticed that baby had a swimwear piece in 2007, and 2009. (Hellolace)
Does anyone know if they still make swimwear around the summer? If and why they stopped selling them??
I decided to do something a little different with my wardrobe post and challenged myself to a game. I was to create coordinates with primary pieces (OP, JSK, skirt) and no less than 2 other items, excluding shoes and socks.
