  Delicious Chocolate Eclairs

Servings: Makes 30

What you will need:
6 tablespoons Butter, cut into pieces
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
3 Large eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups heavy whipping cream
7 ounces(200 grams) semisweet chocolate “I enjoy the Ghirardelli kind”

Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 Celsius)
Melt butter in a saucepan with 2 cups cold water, then bring to a boil. As soon as mixture reaches a boil, remove from the heat, and add all of the flour at once. Beat well with the wooden spoon until thick and glossy and comes away from the sides of the pan.

Step 2: Using a wooden spoon, lightly beat in the eggs a little at a time, beating constantly until the mixture is smooth, thick, and shiny. Let cool for a few minute, then transfer to a piping bag.

Step 3: Pipe 2 inch(5 centimeters) lengths of the mixture onto 2 baking sheets lines with parchment paper. You should have around 30 in all.Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown, then remove from the oven and make a slit down the side in each one. Return to the oven for 5 minutes for the insides to cook through. Then remove and leave to cool.

Step 4:Put the cream in the mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Spoon or pipe the cream into each eclair. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a heat proof bowl.Place the bowl over a pan of simmering water and stir until the chocolate is just melted and smooth.Spoon over the eclairs and serve. ( You could add star sprinkles as a variation) (Also you could put strawberries inside your cream mixture)
And also as a note "You can make these tasty treats ahead of time".At the end of step 3,place the eclairs in a airtight and store for up to 2 days,or freeze. You could buy cool whip or something as well. Enjoy them yourself or share. >//<
Good Evenin' all!

I consider myself a budding brolita & aristocrat & I'm also a TV cameraman. I'm co-producing a Lolita lifestyle pilot TV programme "Porcelain Dolls: Realities of Fantasy" as well as a series of Lolita programmes focusing on different topics.

Hello ladies, currently im working on a project a video to be exact. I want to do a lolita slide show. So basiclly I need any of your BEST lolita pictures especially any OTT. Everyone who contributed will be credited(in the video). Also I need help on deciding a song. I was thinking Lonly and gorgeous, pretty girl rock (dont hate me cause i'm lolita),, we are pop candy, or any other upbeat song. I will post the video when I'm finished if all goes well. My computer has a history of being non-cooporative.

THANKS O' BUNCH!!!!♥♦♣♠

Hey EGL! I know that there are a few lolitas in Korea and I thought that it would be fun to meet some lolitas while I'm here who are a part of EGL. I'll be in Seoul, Chuncheon, and probably Anyang so if you're in the area, please comment! It would be great to meet lolitas in a foreign country.

And if anyone knows of any cute places (clothing/accessory stores, cafes, whatnots), do let me know!

09:17 pm - Fabric Question
I've fallen in love with JeJ's new skirt, "Amour d'Amants Jupe," but it is, like all their skirts, about 6 cm too small for me to actually wear. :( So my question is this; do any lolitas here know where I could buy high end fabric like this with prints of rococo or Raphael-esque paintings on them? I'm not looking for any particular painting, just something in the same style as JeJ's new line.

Amour d'Amants Jupe

I realize it's a long shot, but thanks in advance!
09:25 pm - Making a JSK
I was thinking about making my own jsk or skirt.

But i have no idea where to start.  Can anyone help me. I need advice on patterns  and cutting the fabric and the works. I read some tutorials online but i cannot make sense of it. I hand sewn by the way.

SURVEY/POLL IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING.

Recently I've been emailing Juliette et Justine and while exchanging emails, I asked if there was any chance that JetJ would re-release any of their old dresses. The reply I got back was that there was a chance if there is a very popular dress but they don't have any plans to re-release anything. So I thought that MAYBE if I did a survey of sorts on EGL, I could get some stats and send it off to Juliette et Justine and ask them to consider certain items. I'm not saying that sending this info will lead to re-releases, but I thought that it might get JetJ to really consider re-releasing their older releases.

If you are interested in re-releases of anything from JetJ, please comment with the following info!
1) Name of the item OR picture of the item you want. If you have both, please comment with them.
2) Colour you are interested in of whatever item you requested. COLOURS THAT WERE ALREADY AVAILABLE IS PREFERRED BUT IF YOU LIKE THE DESIGN BUT A DIFFERENT COLOURWAY, PLEASE STATE THAT CLEARLY. For example, if a pair of shoes that were released was only released in white but you wanted them in black, state that black was never available but you wish there was.
3) Size you want the item to be in. For dresses, skirts, and blouses, the sizes are: SIZE 1 (Bust 88 cm~92 cm / Waist: 62 cm~68 cm) OR SIZE 2 (Bust: 88 cm~98 cm / Waist: 64 cm~85 cm). Another option is CUSTOM SIZED (you send them your measurements and/or the measurements you want the dress to be). I only saw custom sizing available for skirts and dresses. Even if a custom size option didn't exist during the first release, you may state the it if you would like that option. If a size 2 option did not exist, then do not put down size 2 as something you would like.
4) Do you like the option of having a "preorder"? What this means is that anybody can order the items in a chosen time frame and JetJ will make as many dresses that were ordered. Things won't be sold out during this preorder time.
5) If re-releases happened, how often would you want them to happen? How many dresses per season?
6) Any other "suggestions" (E.g.: I wish more of their stuff had quarter shirring)

I'll try to keep track of what people want by editing this post whenever I can.

Onto the items!Collapse )
10:20 pm - Sewing Question
tea time for wiccan
Hello ladies and gentlemen, I have a very noob-ish question.

How do I sewing on the skirt to a separate waist band? So far I have only done skirts with built in waistbands. Is there usuallya function on the sewing machine? Do I just make lots of the tiny pleats?

Thank you for your time.
Hi!  Does anyone know of any groups or planned meet ups in London?

Thanks!
