Free Goodies at Penny Arcade Expo (PAX East)

Hello everyone!  I am just letting you know that I am going to Boston tomorrow for the Penny Arcade Expo and will be giving away rings while I am there.  I did this last year and it was great fun!  All you have to do is find me, give me the password "Sweet", and you have a free ring.

For more info on what I am wearing and how to find me go HERE.

P.S.-  If you are not going to PAX but your boyfriend/husband/brother/friend is they can get the ring for you.  It is okay.

Female painters from the time of Marie-Antoinette 01/03 - 08/05/2011

For those of you who are interested in French history and Rococo, or even if you simply enjoy looking at paintings of beautiful people wearing beautiful dresses, there is an exhibition in the Mitsubishi Ichigokan museum in Tokyo going on at the moment. It is mainly dedicated to Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun, the appointed portraitist to the French queen, but there are also many paintings and some sculptures by other female painters of the 18th century. I went to this museum myself, dressed up in lolita clothing, as it seemed rather fitting. It was amazing! I highly recommend you to go see the exhibition too if you currently live in Japan or are planning to visit Tokyo between now and 8th of May.

If you want to know more, here is a link to a blog entry about it: tokyoroomfinder.blogspot.com/2011/03/female-painters-from-time-of-marie.html

PS: tokyo_arwen, cara_strawberry and I are thinking of doing a meet-up at the gallery sometime this month. We would all be delighted if more people wished to join us.

Poetry from a lolita. :O

Okay so I am fourteen and in Language Arts I had to write a poem about Anne Frank. Well everyone loved my poem and my teacher told me to write an Ode to something I like for extra credit. I decided to write my poem on Lolita. I was trying to get most of the sub styles of lolita in but it was very hard coming up with ideas(but trust me I am still trying). I started out with Gothic and Sweet, since I knew the most about them. In my honest opinion I did not do very good on Sweet but I will try again. ^-^ Once again I am only 14, therefore I do not have much poetic skill. Be as critical as possible...please! I love constructive critisim. :D

Or turn on your tv to CNN

EDIT: FYI List of major earthquakes in Japanese history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_earthquakes_in_Japan

Please understand that although this is a very catastrophic event, it is not the worst that has happened, and it is important to remember all those that have died in earthquakes and other natural disasters worldwide. And how important rescue efforts and community support is for victims.
