Hello egl ! It has been nearly a year since I have posted anything on LJ...wow. XD
Anyway, a few weeks ago my friends and I did a photoshoot at the Cathedral of Learning here in Pittsburgh. The lighting in there was terrible and none of us remembered to bring a tripod, but still some of the photos turned out well and I thought I'd share them with you! Photos by myself and Carlos. Editing by me. Models are myself (in black/white) , sweetsailormars (in blue) and Liz (whose LJ name i forget, lol) in cream. I hope you like the photos!
I've been into lolita for about five years now with the exception of this past year due to the birth of my daughter. It's only within the past couple of months or so that I've really been getting back into it. This isn't all of my lolita wardrobe but it's the majority of it. Hope you enjoy!
I require a pic-spam egl! Mind sharing all your pictures of bonnets? Brand pictures of bonnets, photos of bonnets from your own collection, bonnets you've made, drawings featuring bonnets, Lolitas wearing bonnets. Let's go!
I'm looking for stock photos of three jumperskirts. It's been a while since I bought them (2-4 years) so I can't find them on the brand sites anymore. The stock photo pool on Flickr and the search function didn't yield any results, either.
What I'm looking for:
1. Innocent World - Music Note JSK, all-around shirring under the bust, the print with the music bar around the hem and the rose/angel design on the rest of the fabric; preferably black version
2. Innocent World - velvet JSK with scallops on bust and skirt hem, belt with bow, pearls on the bust, dot-tulle that peeks out at the bottom, shirring in the back, skirt is pleated; preferably brown version
3. Metamorphose - 50s-inspired JSK with yellow/orange/red cherry print, detachable collar, detachable bow and belt; should be yellow version (or another item from the same series in yellow)
First off, I want to apologise for not making a formal post for this in January. I'm afraid the time just slipped me by. But! Here it is now. So without further ado, I bring you EGL's next contest...
Contest theme: I'm sure most of us are familiar with the principals of 'old school' lolita; Maxi-pad headdresses, platform mary-janes, curly twin tails and simple dresses. If you would like more inspiration or information, I highly recommend reading this post on F-yeah lolita. Now that's sorted, we want to see your very best try at emulating old school lolita! whether it's the early years of gothic with roses and black lipstick, or even earlier more otome-inclined styles. Simply make your old school co-ordinate and submit it to us for a chance to win! Your submission should be made especially for the contest, and be a photo of you. Now, onto the technical jargon...
I know brands don't normally restock items such as dresses and such, but AP recently released a pair of Ribbon Shoes which they only put up on their Japanese site, and they sold out fairly quickly. I know with dresses and such, the item would never be restocked at all, but I was wondering if anyone knows if they have ever gotten another shipment in of their shoes before? I wanted them in black but they only had pink left, so I ordered those, but I still want a black pair as well. :3
Here's the rest of the pictures from that weekend including Saturday's Sanrio I <3 Nerds event in nearby Santa Monica, The Innocent World and BTSSB Fashion Show and the rest of the pictures from Sunday at PMX. ( Collapse )
I'M LATE, I'M LATE, I'M LATE! A beginner lolita, started in August 2010. I don't keep all my lolita cloths in my wardrobe because the get wrinkled from all the squashing from the other clothes! I only put some in, everything else are hung outside the wardrobe. ^^;; ( Collapse )
