NYAF/ NYCC Weekend Photos!

Here I am to dump all the pictures of everyone I took this weekend! I've made a Flickr for it since LJ isn't cooperating with me. If you see yourself and you'd like me to remove your photo please let me know. On the otherside of the spectrum... I don't know many of your names or LJ names. Let me know if you'd like me to caption your photo with that info ^ ^ Enjoy!

All the pictures are located here:  www.flickr.com/photos/54767378@N05/sets/72157625028519041/

Last semester, I did research on the Lolita subculture and some of the ladies in the subculture who live in the bay area were able to give me in-depth answers to my questions. I'm a radio and television (BECA) major at San Francisco State University and I have a magazine style interview that I proposed to shoot for a production class. The proposal has been approved for production and I'm currently in the pre-production process. I have at least 3-4 ladies that have already agreed to be interviewed including an interview and shoot  at the Baby The Stars Shine Bright Boutique.  In addition, one of the locations that I have been approved to shoot at is a Tea Party on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Crown and Crumpet in San Francisco. I also have a few other locations that I have set to shoot. I'm writing the group because I was informed by Camille Tambe, Host for the Halloween tea party, that I would have to get permission from the Bay Area Lolitas.

Thank you again
and I hope to hear from you soon. If you have any questions for me
please let me know. I will answer them to the best of my ability.

Lolita Critique

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give you the heads up about a new lolita community, Lolita Critique.

I've noticed a lot of commentary recently about people wanting honest, constructive criticism for their coordinates, but also a few remarks that it can be difficult to put yourself out there and ask for it, or difficult to provide critique when you're not sure it'll be well-received. Lolita Critique is hopefully a solution. You can post or comment anonymously (or not), and the mods will be keeping a keen eye out for rude comments or trolls, so you can have a comfortable environment in which to get and give honest but polite opinions.

If the community is successful, we'll probably be looking for more moderators to keep things running smoothly. There's also a questions and suggestions post here if you need anything cleared up or if you have feedback.

Halloween Tea Party Money Update!

So hey guys sorry about the super late update, I've been trying to get paypal to connect to my bank account but its not going to happen. So instead I would like everyone to bring $31 to the tea party and just give the money to me there. Sorry for and inconvenience to you guys.

Also if you can can you guys also send me and e-mail with your name, username, and what you will be for the party so I can make name tags for everyone, and please send me an e-mail if there is any foods that you CANNOT eat so I can sort it out with the tea house.

Thank you.

Tea stains?

I've been browsing the memories and care posts, but still haven't had any luck on my specific issue and was wondering if perhaps someone on here might be able to help me a little better.

It's probably FAR too late and the stain has definitely set, but about a month ago I spilled green tea on my AP Jewelry Jelly jsk (mint colorway). I tried a few things at the time it happened, but never got a chance to really sit down with it until recently. I've tried a few conventional attempts at cleaning tea stains, but so far I think I've only made it worse.

Does anyone have any advice on treating tea stains on AP? Should I try tide-to-go? Have I lost my window of opportunity and will just have to live with it? Should I try and put it in the washer on the hand wash setting?
