So i'm running a GO, and someone asked me for how much space they should tack on for breathing room. I said at least 2cm. However, I am starting to feel nervous that that isn't enough space for breathing. So egl, how much would you say is breathing room?

I've seen some sellers doing them, and I offer them myself, but I  have never done one. What I was thinking is that it would be okay, especially for the good of the buyer if they don't have the money right away. In your opinion, if there is one, what's the best way to conduct payment plans?

Or is it best to do a hold with a non-refundable deposit of some sort and then set a payment deadline for the rest before the item goes back up for sale (or some variation of this)?

Or just not allow payment plans or any variant of them? I ask the community because I have never done it before and would like to hear some advice from those of you who are in a position to know.

I've been getting an order ready to place on taobao and since I'm getting MP in blue in a couple weeks, I'm looking for a blue or white star shaped bag from taobao to tack on to the order. I know that dream of lolita carried them, but they are not in the shop. It seems like there was another shop that carried them, but I can't find it. Perhaps it was banirabbit? But I can't read the navigation bar, and its an image, not plain text so I can't translate it and click on the sidebars at banirabbit to navigate to the page where they show more of what they have. Its not worth the work, clicking on every last link, if they don't have it. Somebody help me out if you can. Thanks!

Also if you know the chinese characters for "star shaped bag", that would be great so I could just run a general search of the site.
I was just wondering if anybody else has posted any photographs for this event? I have uploaded my photos here-

I have also posted this link on the loligothuk community. If you appear in any of the photos then please let me know. The lolitas I met were kind and friendly so a big thank you to all of you! I apologise in advance for my appearance in some of the pictures. The warehouse was quite hot and my hair comb kept falling out of place ^_^

And if anybody else has pictures I would really love to see them!

I have started a blog called thevelveteenlolita.blogspot.com. In it, I'm writing book reviews and articles on the Lolita fashion.

In this blog, I've decided to create a series called Around-the-World Lolita. It's a collection of true Lolita-themed stories written and experienced by Lolitas from all over the world.

The only problem is this: I don't know Lolitas from all over the world. So, I need your help. Perhaps you could post some of your Lolita experiences in the comments below?

Thanks for your help.

Interestingly enough, it's not often that socks have much focus put on them even though there are certain things one should never wear with certain outfits...

two big-ish pictures...Collapse )
Hello, I wanted to ask, do you have posters from Gothic&Lolita Bibles? i mean something like this: http://s979.photobucket.com/albums/ae277/Luna_Rain_photos/Hyper%20Japan%20Oct%202010/?action=view&current=100_1197.jpg (sorry that I took photo from one convention, I hope you don't mind ;___;)
If you have scans of these in high resolution, please share <3 I love especially poster from the link, but all are welcome <3

A few days ago I was looking at IW's Emblem print high waist JSK at Hello Lace (http://hellolace.net/wardrobe/innocent-world/jsk/53/), since I own it in black and wanted to have a look at stock pics of the other colourways, and noticed something odd. The stock pics show the JSK with no shirring, and a lace-up back, whereas mine has no lace-up, and shirring in the back. I am not the first owner of the JSK, but I don't think it has been altered. So I'm really curious to know what the reason for this is, has the Emblem print been released twice, in different versions? Or has my dress simply been very skillfully altered?

I believe I've only posted here a handful of times but I just finished a shoot that I think some people may enjoy!

Recently the ridiculously talented Apatico sent me a huge bonnet (among other hats) to shoot. My style usually leans towards EGA, however I love to try out different styles, especially if they are out of my comfort zone. I contacted I Do Declare to see if she had any dresses that would match the bonnet, and she did! Both of these designers are brilliant, the detail and work put in to each piece is stunning, I definitely recommend buying from either of them.

So, I was looking for a plain off-white blouse to wear under a JSK, and I thought "well, I don't want anything super special, so Bodyline should do the trick." I guess I was having an impulsive moment, and bought the first one that I saw that vaguely fit the criteria for around 25 dollars.  Well, I got it in the mail today, and it is COVERED in yards and yards of cheap lace that I couldn't even see on the stock picture (looks like ruffles on my computer screen).  To ship it back and get a refund would probably be more expensive than the cost of the shirt itself, so I'm not sure what to do.  I guess I could try to take off the lace, but I'm not a very skilled seamstress and I'm scared I'd ruin it further.  I know this topic has probably been posted before, but I guess I'm just not typing in the right keywords.  Does anyone have any advice about what to do?

I have a feeling that picture didn't work.

I love the fresh coordination of those heart buckle shoes!
This showed up in my Twitter feed today, and it's made of lolwut. She's for sure rocking the gothic part of gothic and lolita, but still.... lolwut???

Here's a link so you can see for yourself.

Note: The trailer has "Japanese Gore Effects", if you are squeamish of blood DO NOT watch the video towards the bottom of the page. It's not super realistic, but I thought a warning was in order just in case.

I think I might still watch it coz it looks like it might be funny.
Considering how the Victorian era plays a part in Lolita, I thought this game might be of interest.

You basically playing as Death riding a bike and you reap souls while you perform tricks. It's harder than it sounds.
I guess I can go far as to say the ever-so-awesome Robot Unicorn Attack game was for Sweet Lolitas, now Gothic and even Classical Lolitas have their own! XD

I met a lot of wonderful lolis at hyper japan . My name is Eve and I was wearing a Red dress with an Angelic Pretty bag and Black boots . I did catch peoples names but sadly not usernames . If you were there on sunday can you contact me !
Best Regards
 Hey!

Has anyone ever ordered from this site:

http://www.kanacassecret.com

They've got *some* really cheap but  lovely-looking wigs and bags, though they're not a lolita shop.

I haven't been able to find anything regarding them, so am quite curious!

If any's bought from them I would love to hear your experience! Thankings!!
