Christmas Lolita?

Can anyone help me with this? My work wants me dressed in lolita during christmas and I want to wear a lolita dress that has a christmas feel to it. I was thinking the AP Miracle Candy JSK or OP in Red, but I was hoping some more experienced lolitas would provide extra input. I really want to stick to something that is red and white or so with perhaps prints on it. I don't want anything that is red and green (looks ugly to me).

Thanks for all your help! :)

Also, if possible please link me to the dress <3

My skirt came in!

After waiting patiently for weeks, my new Bodyline skirt has finally arrived! This is actually my first lolita purchase, as all the rest of my coords were pieced together from department outlets or handmade. I'm too lazy to post a full review but I have a couple of pictures under the cut. I apologize for the horrible grainy cell phone pictures, but my camera is throwing fits at me and refuses to work.

Overall I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. My roommate, who is not into lolita, saw it and fell in love, so she may be buying a skirt or two on Bodyline in the future as well.

Lolita Wedding!?

Ok, here's the deal. I've always loved lolita since I discovered it a few years back, but was never financially able to go all out. Now I'm 27 (a little on the old side for lolita I suppose) and my 23 year old fiance is gaga over the idea of a lolita wedding. How can I do this without feeling silly and it looking really nice? He has his heart set on it and since we will be getting hitched in the New Orleans French Quarter I figure we'd be able to pull it off, but I'm still a little stumped and hesitant. I mean, I'm pushing 30. Most loli's I know are early 20's and younger. help?

Edit: I was thinking about getting this dress.

I thought it looked Edwardian and he liked this better than the 2 dresses I already have from previous engagements (he said they looked too stiff) but will it work for loli?

Ace Attorney Coordinates

I was just rather bored and decided to hunt down pieces for Ace Attorney-based coordinates. I've talked about them quite a bit in the past, and I happily found a whole slew of items that are mostly still around for those who are ambitious and resourceful wanting to actually buy them.

Closet Child Sale

Greetings Ladies and Gents~

Closet Child is having a fall sale in their stores, and I believe the web shop as well. I was in their Harajuku store 3 days ago to see that they're selling some BTSSB, AP, and IW for between 8,000 and 10,000 yen.

For those lucky enough to hit up a branch, I recommend you do so pretty quick.

Those of you who aren't living in Japan, I may be able to make another trip so if there's something you're looking for feel free to contact me and we'll work something out.

Jane Marple 25th Anniversary Project

I cross-posted this on the Jane Marple community (danslesalon) but thought there are probably Jane Marple fans out there on EGL that don't follow the community.

I've been thinking about this project for a while now- As some of you may or may not know, 2010 is the 25th anniversary of Jane Marple. I wanted to create a little something to send to the designer and staff of the Harajuku branch of the store to show that there is interest in the Jane Marple clothes overseas.

Zine Project:
A little zine featuring clothing snaps and drawings or writing about Jane Marple to be sent to JM designer Murano Megumi and shop staff at Harajuku in celebration of the 25th anniversary. If there are enough submissions I will also create a webpage version of the contents so that everyone can enjoy. The zine will be 1/4 of 8.5 x 11" letter size paper.

In addition, one of my hobbies is to create zines so I will also be making a B&W version of the zine to sell at the price of printing costs (around $3-4 depending on page count and # of submissions). Please note that this is not for profit. I go to a lot of zine fairs and just like the idea of creating a physical object that can be shared with others.

Contributors may get a free copy of the physical zine as long as you agree to help me out with the shipping if it ends up being more than one dollar. I would appreciate donations to cover printing costs, but they are not mandatory for contributors. :-)

Deadline is November 20th, 2010. I will prepare the booklet in time for Christmas / New Years. I will make another post again 1 week before the deadline in November.

Thank you for your interest! Let me know if you have more questions! :D
