Princess of Pink

Happy Easter, Everyone!!!

This year for Easter I attended the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence's Easter Celebration in San Francisco. It was supposed to be outdoors in Dolores Park, but since it's been raining for 3 days now it was held indoors. As someone who ended up going in lolita and had use her parasol as an umbrella to get into the venue intact I was SUPER grateful! The theme was "Sisters Through the Looking Glass" so of course there were tons of Alice in Wonderland themed costumes and performances, as well as their annual Easter Bonnet and Hunky Jesus contests! It was wild, but such a good time, and I thought I'd share some photos because I never post pictures in here anymore and because maybe you all need your day to be a little brighter! Enjoy!

Taking the elastic out of Bodyline skirts?

Hello all! I have a question that's not answered by the memories or the search tool. I have a few Bodyline skirts that just barely fit, but would likely fit better if I took the elastic out of the waistband of the skirt. (They're all the kind with elastic just in the back.) However, I have no idea how to do this, especially without destroying the skirt. Could someone who's done this before give me some hints on how to do this?

Thank you so much! ^_^

Theme Post: Then and now--Help me go over the AP Chronology!

Hey everyone!  I'm sure a lot of you know of and have seen the Angelic Pretty Print Chronology I put together last summer.  It's fairly comprehensivish, but seeing the new theme today I thought it would be a good idea to go through it and patch up its few remaining holes.  I was also hoping that a few more old prints might surface (hopefully with identification ;p).

Also, I have decided to go through and add all the colorways that a print came in below the picture of each print!  Again, I'm not exactly the biggest expert ever, but if you could point me out a couple I'll add them in.

Remember, for any AP print I am looking for OP Pictures, the name, the year and even the order they came out in, and now the colorways!  If you have any/some/all of this information or any leads for me to follow, just put down a post.  If you don't know something, chances are someone does.

Come give me a hand!

((On that note, does anyone want to do an AatP or Baby chronology?  I've got the beginnings of both but dont' really have the knowledge to do either of them justice.  If you are interested send me a note and I'll get you the beginnings of my post :D  I just want to see the end product!))

New layout/Themes - April

Again, sorry for the delay, but our lovely new layout for April is here! Artwork this month is by ichigo_shock. You can view more of her work on her DeviantArt! With the new artwork also comes some new themes! Ooh I can sense your excitement, I won't keep you waiting:

The General Theme for April is Then and now!
This is the month to show us your 'lolita time line'. Let's see how the community has changed over the years; whether it's mulling over old AP adverts or showing us your blossoming transformation from ita to hime-lolita!

The Aesthetic Theme for April is Flowers!
Inspired by the beautiful blue roses in this months artwork, show us anything flower and lolita related. Spring's here, so why not take a photoshoot among the lovely new buds?

Theme based posts do not need to include both of the themes, and not all community posts have to be on theme. The themes are just to give people inspiration and excuses to post! If you want to submit artwork for next months layout, please check this post.

Sakura-Con Lolita Fashion Show 2010 PHOTOS!

Oh, wow. So, the fashion show turned out awesome... In spite of a few issues. I only had half of my stylists show up, they were late finding me an audio out cord so no one got a chance to practice walking to the music, the video camera we borrowed crapped out on us, we started 20 minutes late and I added some choreography on the fly. Oh, and Chris DJed the whole thing from his MP3 player because the sound setup at Sakura-Con hates our laptop.

But enough of that. On to the photos!

Looking for a Video

Sorry! I looked everywhere searching for all the keywords I could think of, but couldnt' find anything.

A while back, someone posted what I believe was a Japanese TV interview with a few lolitas. One of the images I specifically remember were two lolitas riding on their bikes. In the interview, they got to go into one of the girls' houses and interview both her and some of her family members.

Does anyone remember this video, and could they provide me with a link?
