I hope this is the right place. I am very new to all of this buisness, but have thought about joining the lolita ranks for years now. I'm a relatively experienced crafter, so I am planning on sewing my own. I am absolutely in love with this dress I saw on lolita fashion.
Could anyone recommend a pattern that is similar? Or if this is completely the wrong community, pointing me in the right direction. Thanks!
So here are some photos i took at yesterdays Tokyo Fashion Fest !

I just wanted to announce to you all that a new lolita blog has been made, after being in the works for a long time.
It is called Uniquely Loli: Celebrating Individuality in Lolita Fashion.
The point of it is to celebrate the offbrand/handmade/thrifted/DIY aspect of Lolita, by showcasing handmade goodies that would work well with the fashion, as well as tutorials, editorials, and the like.
Hope you enjoy it!
I was wondering if anybody has shoes from Rose Chocolat in IVORY and a garment from Baby in OFF-WHITE? If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you take a picture of the two items together so I can see how they match? Or at least tell me if they match?
In these photos they look like they could be fairly close, but I just want to get them in the same lighting before I spend all this money!
The shoes are "Tul Tul," but I have no idea what the dress is called. If you've got stock photos or more information about this dress, that would be rad.
Thank you so much!
And what I want to wear to Tokyo Dark Castle if I ever go T_____T
This month's theme is gothic so I thought I would post it !

EDIT: Sorted, the item was relisted, so will use a shopping service to get it. Thanks.
For those who don't know of us, we're a Lolita art community, centered around the sharing and critiquing of Lolita-based art, regardless of skill level and level of completion. Need suggestions on what direction to take a certain piece? Afraid of your work getting torn to pieces by the general egl community? Come join egl_comm_art and post your work!
In addition to being a safe haven for uncertain artists, we also do art competitions. The currently running competitions are:
February's theme: Self Portrait - The object of this theme is to create a piece depicting yourself in Lolita. This competition is being extended due to lack of valid entries. Please see this post for more information on this theme.
Contest #4 - Wonderland - The object of this contest is to create a piece and accompanying icon to be used in the community, depicting your own personal Wonderland or a Lolita/Alice in Wonderland crossover. This competition is over, and we need your votes to pick a winner! Please head over to this post and vote!
You must be a member in order to enter our competitions (but you don't need to be a member to vote! Go vote!). Artists and lurkers alike are all welcome to join, just please read our rules before posting.
It looks very cute to me, but I'm wondering if anyone bought it before. I want to see if it looks good in real life.
It seems like they do carry some bonnets in their collection too, but in my opinion their hats are so much more epic
According to the site, the catalogue is for viewing styles only, to order you have to select 'store locator' to find a retailer nearest to you (who is willing to ship say if you are located overseas)
click on picture to view their catalogue
I tried looking for an answer to this, & couldn't find anything. >_<
There's a dress I like on Closet Child's Harajuku store blog, but it isn't listed in their webstore. Will they do online orders for dresses listed in the blog if I ask (& it's still in the store), or will I have to find an in-store shopping service?
Thanks for any help :3
There was a small discussion on the metamor_way community but didn't have much buzz so i wanted to know what did everyone think of these two series?
I find Meta & C/L have been putting out pieces that aren't really my taste and way over done (in my point of view) but these two series are so laid back I wonder if the prices are really worth it : )
Dear Lolis and their friends,
I hope that you are having a lovely weekend!
First, thank you to everyone who participated in the first poll - you are amazing and very helpful! Sorry for not posting earlier - I was stuck on a finance assignment. (ugh!)
I made the changes that you suggested and if there is anyone who would like to participate in the new & improved survey that would be brilliant. I've set the poll so that I should be the only person able to view text entry responses and voters but I don't think that I can hide the results fully.
Here is more information about the project. I've posted some of it in my earlier answers, so apologies if you've already read this. Basically, I am working on a business plan for a cafe+retail space in New York based on the cosplay/maid cafes of Akihabara but with a theme that is specifically focused on Lolita. I am trying to discover whether there is demand for such an offering.
I am also interested in how you discovered Lolita. I discovered it through manga/anime but of course, not every Lolita likes anime and vice versa.
If you are not in NYC or US, I would still really appreciate your answers because they may show that there is a better location that I should consider.
Finally, if you have any suggestions, please drop me a line at email@example.com
Thank you very much!
