And that's just a small portion of his site.
I know deco is usually more the sweets and realistic looking candies and things, but this just cried deco to me, what with all the pretty shinies. And there's some really cute stuff if you peruse the site.

For those who haven't heard of us, we're a community based around Lolita artwork, a friendly place to post your work and get helpful critiques (or if you just want to share artwork you did without fear of being torn apart by the non-art community ;)). As always, welcoming all skill levels, and all levels of completion for pieces posted (anything from concepts, to doodles, to finished works)!
In addition to being a great place to show off your mad art skillz and ask for help and suggestions, one of the things that we're doing to keep the community active is having art contests!
Monthly theme contest!
Due to schedule conflicts, we currently have two themes running as of today!
- Photography - This was the original theme we picked for August, but various things are leading this theme to be extended until October 20. Please see the original post for the requirements for this theme.
- Halloween - This is a big part of why we're switching things around right now--we needed to get a Halloween theme in time to get up a fitting layout for the month of October! For this theme, we're accepting anything that relates to Halloween or any other holiday around this time in some way (be it a piece with a creepy feel to it, a Lolita take on a classic Halloween costume, ghostly Lolitas, and guro pieces, this is your time to shine!). More info on this theme can be found here. This theme will be running until September 20th.

You must be a member in order to enter any of the contests (obviously). If you're interested in becoming a member, please see our community rules here.
Want to become a work of art? We're looking for photo donations! I'd like to expand the resources available to our community artists, and for that, I need everyone's help who's able to contribute! If you have photos that you'd like to donate, and/or would like more information, please see my full post in the art community, here--commenting has been enabled for non-community members (and screened to help protect those that don't want their photos too widely spread, but don't mind them being used for artistic purposes). Please post all photos/links in the linked post, not in this egl post.
I really like the Royal Frame print - and finally, normal designs! The OP is really nice, and a bustle skirt! They don't have the actual product up yet but I'm putting high hopes on it. The headbows are nice-looking too, imo.
The Velveteen series I haven't made my mind about, but I just don't like velveteen all that much.
The coats are mostly meh (imo, again), but this one I like a lot.
Frankly speaking, I had long since lost my faith in Meta... But now...

In regards to the character of Sophie being the subject of the artwork used in the egl banner each month, which of the following do you find agreeable?
Do you think that companies, seamstresses and shopping services should be allowed to advertise their wares, sales and promotions for a limited number of times per month on the main community?
If companies, seamstresses and shopping services are allowed to advertise their wares, sales and promotions for a limited number of times per month on the main community, how many times should that be?
Do you think the tag system used in the sales community should be expanded to include the different types of clothing items as well as the different colors of items?
If the tag system is expanded, do you think the tags should be enforced by way of warnings that lead to bans?
The format of Paypal transactions has recently changed so that there are two kinds of payments, "personal" and "purchase". A personal transaction provides no buyer protection, but the fees are lower. A purchase transaction incurs higher fees, but there is buyer protection provided. It is against the user agreement of Paypal to ask buyers to use a personal transaction, but it is common practice for many sellers. Do you think that sellers in the sales community should be allowed to ask that buyers pay via Paypal using a personal transaction?
In their posts, should buyers and sellers in the sales community be required to link to their feedback status from a credible source of feedback such as loligothdbs.com or ebay?
Should buyers and sellers in the sales community who have changed their names be required to link to feedback accumulated under their old names?
feel free to delete, i feel like im asking for a lot ;A;
