Well ^^ votations from the bodyline design contest have started.

How to vote:

and write your mail in the white space, then press submit.
2-Now go to your hotmail account /yahoo or what you use, you have received an invitation to vote!
3-Click on the link that they give you or copy and paste it. You can vote 5 designs.
4-If you copy and paste it again you have other 5...and more and more if you do it frequently..xD
5- Designs are organized on that way: with more votes at first pages, with less votes at end pages.
6-Some people do false mails accounts in order to vote theirselves...
7-People that has not vote theirselves are at last page xDD (I'm there wiiii xD)

Hope you enjoing voting^^ I have seen cute designs with carrousels and more cute thinks and I've in love with one called pink dots or something like so lovely and I would like to meet the artist =3.
That's all^^ think that what you vote is what they are going to sell and that not only the colored drawings are nice, and sometimes that one that you look as horrible with bad lines when you see it in big is really original =) not all people nows how to use photoshop XP
Bye bye =) and good luck to all participants.

Poll 1: Would you buy a replica?

I work for an online marketing agency and love polls. I would like to post a new poll every Monday and make this an ongoing thing.

Some polls will be fun, some will be philosophical, some will just be demographics but they will always be short!

Poll will be closed: Sunday, March 8, 1pm PST

Some DIY questions

Hi! I didn't see these particular types of DIY tutorial in the memories so I thought I'd ask.

How is it that people get those little dangly charms onto nails? Is it complicated or expensive?
And second, has anyone succesfully added designs to tights/pantyhose. I've heard of dying them, but how about painting designs? glitter? etc.

Any help is appreciated.

So for my Design & Society class I'm writing a paper on Lolita Fashion. I need to discuss the history of it and how it came to be as well as how it affects contemporary culture. My professor wants me to relate it to cosplay (ack!) and manga culture as well and I know nothing about!

A little help or some ideas? I'd really appreciate it =)
Why do YOU dress in lolita?
What are some issues that concern lolita today? (Pros/Cons)
etc. etc.

Smells Like Lolita

So I'm curious, I've been hunting the fragrances for the past week and though I'm into Gucci by Gucci I wouldn't use it with loli for some reason. Instead I was looking at strawberry perfume (cliche but I love strawberries, always have, my bf doesn't, there's a crack between us in that area lol bah to him if I wanna smell like strawberries I will!!!) and I'm trying to start wearing make up a little often though only starting small like lip gloss and what not and I do want to try the cookie flavours, strawberry and watermelon.

.. I've also been spying on Jessica Simpsons cupcake perfume

So tell me, what do you like smelling of when you're in Lolita?

Jessica Simpson's  Sweet Kisses Vanilla Cupcake
Body Shop's Strawberry Perfume Oil
David & Goliath's Chocolate Chip Lip balm

Story/Photo request: Lolitas having fun outdoors!

So, for many of us US lolitas, today was a Snow Day and classes were canceled. Like many others, I put on lolita (Bodyline, nothing too major) and went out to have fun, etc. when one girl who I don't even know comes up to me and says, rather sneeringly, "Guess you're not having fun in the snow today!"
And I went right ahead and made snow angels. Because I can.
Soooo, my request is for any photos/stories of fun you've had outdoors in lolita, or images from magazines/bibles with outdoors-y themes maybe. I mean, probably the majority of us wouldn't wear it hiking or something, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun outside in it, does it?

Tell me what you think! :-)

Greetings from Belgium! ;)

Seeing as the "Belgian Cupcakes" had a really successful meet-up in Antwerp last month... I figured we should come out of hiding and introduce ourselves here! We've been hiding on degl for long enough now (and it's not that active anyway? X.x)! *laughs!*

kittensandsteam has uploaded a couple of fun pictures of the beginning of the meet here on her Flickr account... but after lunch, we had a really awesome photographer - Koen van den Broeck - join us on a touristic tour through the city of Antwerp. Those are the pictures I'm sharing here today. :)

I hope this post encourages more Belgian lolitas to come out of hiding and join us on a meet-up next time! We've been getting more members every month... :)
