Two devils

ATTENTION FLORIDA LOLITAS

Just a quick poll for the purpose of planning a meet

:D  Vote wisely, but remember they all cost money.  Science center will easily cost each of us $50, Wonder works $40, (Those both include the parking and a little something to eat), Or Leu Gardens, which is extremely lolita with gardens, vegetable gardens, a rose garden, and a giant clock but lacks intersting exhibits, things to play on and lazer tag, but will only cost us about $7 a person.  D:
Poll #1341490 Where would the FL lolitas rather meet?

Which one?

Orlando Science Center
4(22.2%)
Wonder Works
1(5.6%)
Lau Gardens
13(72.2%)
Poll correction... It's spelled Leu, not Lau. ^^

Tokyopop past contest winners, please advise me!

Hi everyone, first-time-long-time. I just found out last week that I won one of the products on pages 34-35 of the 4th Tokyopop G&L Bible, so I had to sign & send in the release form. However, I emailed a scan of the form back last Saturday, and have only just now taken a good look at the email and the rules on the form. The email sent to me said that I could return the form by email, fax OR regular mail, and the form itself has instructions to return it by email AND regular mail...As it turns out, the earliest I'll be able to send out the paper copy of the release form is Monday, so I hope I'm not too late.

What's really worrying me is that I did not receive a confirmation of the original email I sent to Tokyopop. I told them to write me back if they were unable to view what I sent them (I sent them a scan of the form in a Grayscale .gif that wasn't especially huge, so it's not like a multi meg attachment or anything.) So I'm posting to ask any people here who have won anything from the Tokyopop G&L Bibles as to what their experiences were in returning any release forms.

Thanks in advance, desu wa~

Baby doing dual language item descriptions!?

So I was recently looking through the Baby website when I noticed something really interesting; one of the dresses actually had a dual english/japanese item description!

The Dress in question: The Rose bouqutnya jumper skirt

They didn't use some fail internet translation tool either. None of the other items appear to have the dual description yet.

I personally like this way a lot more than them doing another English website.

EDIT: This was on the main page this morning -

★Notification about the explanations
of the items for overseas customers★
The explanations of the items in English is added to the item page.
We hope thta (that) it'll be useful for overseas cstomers (customers).
Thank you for supporting us.

And they've updated most of the other items too! Looks like it's here to stay.

Bodyline Customer Design Contest!

Bodyline is having another customer design contest. (http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/) The email invitation doesn't seem to be working at the moment, but I'm sure it's just a bug. Bodyline, for all of it's bad reputation, is one of the few venders that goes out of it's way to cater to the western side of lolita, espeically this year (+ 08) with the cheap international shipping, honoring of larger size requests, and western models. The design contest might be a bit better this year.

I know there are tons of artists who submitted last year, so I'm hoping this year's contest will bring Bodyline a nice (and affordable) design that's not a knock-off.

Even if a troll wins, it'll still be at least amusing.
Also, there is a new 'sale'...

Thoughts?

Any Skateboard Lolitas?

So how many skating Lolitas are out there?
I'm planning on doing some skateboard deck illustrations and I thought it could be neat to make a couple loli-inspired designs.
Would there be any interest?

I havn't got any examples yet, but I'm going to start doing some drafts for designs tomorrow and if there would be interest I'd put them up for sale :)
