Minneapolis Shop

Hello EGL,

I am opening a boutique in Minneapolis, MN, USA in August of 2008, and I would like to carry lolita clothing. However, because it is a physical location and not just a website, I want to know if there is any local interest. I am primarily interested in gothic lolita, kodona, and punk styles because they will fit in more with the other areas of my shop (Neo Victorian/Steampunk, glam, gothic, etc), but am fairly open at this point. I am sure I will operate a companion online store as well, so I really do want to make this the best for everyone!

If you guys would be so kind as to answer a short four-question poll for me, that would be awesome!

Thank you very much,

Megan

EDIT: I DO have the start up capital for this venture, otherwise I wouldn't even bother!

And I would be stocking both Men's & Women's clothing :)

ACen 2008 Fashion Show is Go!

The Chicago lolita (hellowonderland, miyu_sakura, dykestar, industrialkitty, pierrotseven, and danaeaphreal) will be collectively hosting a gothic & lolita fashion show for ACen 2008 (May 16-18). We would like to have a show arranged not by sub-type, but by fashion brands.

We are currently looking for models and clothing to make this fashion show a success. Please let me know if you are interested in modeling and/or have clothing to volunteer.

Brands that are in short supply are darker and classic lolita, as well as gothic and punk brands. I don't think we'll be able to have a variety of every brand, but I would like to collectively try. So if you were planning on attending ACen 2008 and needed an excuse to spend money--here is one~ :D

Some examples of desired brands are:
  • Moi-meme-Moitie
  • Victorian Maiden
  • Mary Magdalene
  • Juliette et Justine
  • SEXPOT revenge
  • Putumayo
  • H.naoto
  • Innocent World
  • Boz

Thank you~! I hope to be working with many of you to make this fashion show a smashing success~!

NOTE I am in need of bi-lingual representatives from non english speaking lolita communities so the World Lolita Exchange process can be translated for them so they can participate too! Please let me know if you can help out!
