Hiya everyone~ It's that time again for a new color scheme and banner for egl... Guro-Sophie, in time to scare the other kids with bloody stains and sharp objects during fair October ;D Many thanks go to ayumui for letting us use her fantastic art! You can check out more of her work out on her DeviantART page~
So I had a photoshoot Sunday (some would say today since I haven't slept but technically it was yesterday) and the photographer, Allen Chu, known for his glamour shots, has a love of Japan and it so happened that while going through my closet for outfits, he pulled out my Meta dress (the old ass lucky pack one) and we got some goods shots from that.
Thought some of you might enjoy.
Keep in mind that it was a very last minute shoot we planned pretty much the day before so my room was the easiest place for us to shoot.
So, as a big, big, BIG fan of the Scott Westerfeld Uglies trilogy/series, I am greatly anticipating the release of Extras tomorrow. So, in honor of the event......If there were some kind of plastic surgery available to make a girl (or guy!) the "perfect" lolita, what would it entail?
I'm thinking that perfectly curled hair would be a must. That, along with flawless skin and wide eyes characteristic of porcelain dolls....What do you think?
Just to be sure everyone knows and things don't get messy, this is JUST FOR FUN. It's not supposed to be serious. Also, I won't be back to comment for several hours now, as I've got to go get ready for class/work. See ya then! :D
Hello, I have recently survived a car accident(i'm just a passenger), and was thinking of turning guro loli,'cause of the black eye and all.Kidding^ ^! Okay, I have an internship with Anna Sui in New York, and don't have the time to make a wardrobe. Maybe Grams can do it for me... I will be gone from January to May, so what type of loli clothing should I bring? I've been told to wear dark colors all of the time. Suggestions away!!!
I was missing my petticoat for three months, and found it last night. Problem is, it was terribly dirty. I washed it, and when it came out of the dryer, it was completely flat! So I need to get it fluffy again, what should I do?
...but i wanted to check/confirm if anyone had paid for their order by pp yet (since the original post doesn't have any comments that say have)? was there any issues? i had asked dd the other day about paying by pp, but they ignored that question.
I don't know what happened, I wrote an post asking people to provide suggestions as to where I should go visit when I'm in Tokyo and I can't find it anymore.
Did it get deleted? If it did, could you let me know so at least I know what happened?
Was the post not EGL enough?
I just want to know specific shops that people go to for their EGL stuff, jewellery, clothes, accessories etc. Of course, information on gadgets and the likes, that are non-EGL would be cools too (or is that not allowed on this board? Is that why my previous post was deleted?)
Or is the post there and I need to get my eyes checked? Very weird...
To those of you that sell clothes, what do do you ship them in? How do the brandz ship their stuff? I've heard some horror stories involving Meta & plastic bags taped together. D:
I'm just curious because my mother claims my packing techniques are overzealous. I wrap the item in paper, put it in a box, tape the box shut, and wrap the box in paper. My mom tells me I should just wrap stuff in plastic and put a paper bag around it, but that seems awfully unprofessional & dangerous to me.
Hi all, this is my first post. I've been interested in EGL for a long time (when the bibles first started coming out even) but had never really dressed Rori before. I'm in the process of making two outfits, a shirololi jsk and a country lolita skirt and cut sew.
I don't know if this has been asked before, but I was wondering how brand items are finished? Are they simple serged seems, or more professional looking French seems?
Okay, I searched the memories ( yes..I know there is a section on princess lolita) but I have yet to find a good example of what hime lolita looks like. I need these pictures to help a customer get an idea of what accessories would look nice with her dress I am making her so if anyone has any, official or not please pass them on! Thanks!
Today I looked at AP's new things, and I fell in love with one of the OP's, and a coat. However, I have no idea whatsoever how to order a new item. It seems to me that there is a different process involved, an I was wondering if anyone more knowledgeable in these things than myself could explain things. In Other Words, how would I go about reserving an item?
I will be buying through Celga Inc.
Thanks for reading, and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot. ♥!
This might be a silly question, but I was wondering where you all got your dressmaker's dolls/mannequins from? I haven't been able to find one anywhere (especially not as small as me) and I would really like one for selling, coordination and sewing.
I've seen a lot of you with them, so I was hoping one of you could help me out. Thank you!
So, Lana--fellow Japanese street-fashion aficionado--and I went out today, myself dressed in Lolita and she ... kind of looked like Twiggy. Naturally, we took pictures (and one video) of ourselves getting hyphy outside. Here are the ones of my outfit, I guess it's pretty casual:
