Rose Chocolate shoes

I think I may be internet stupid because I can't figure out how to use the Rose Chocolate website... (and I checked memories for anything on this... )

How long does their shipping take? and can you ask for a faster shipping time? Could you get anything to arrive in a week or less?

Becoming Jane

I know some of you are Jane Austen fans so if you haven't seen this movie yet, I highly recommend that you do.  I was very pleased with it.  I know its not an entirely true story, but I can like it for what it is.  Keeping that in mind, I think many of you will enjoy it as well.

Movie Lolis

I thought this might be a fun game...
I was looking at clothes on Baby when I saw a dress and decided that it looked just like Helena in Mirrormask.
I want to see other people's lolita interpretations of movie characters. They don't need to look exact, or even close I suppose, but try to translate a movie character into lolita clothing.

Maid Cafe at NY Anime Festival

Ahoy, this is Peter Tatara -- Programming Manager for the New York Anime Festival. I spoke with Electroncat about this post, and she gave me a nod, so I wanted to let you all know the New York Anime Festival (Dec 7-9 in NYC) will be a featuring a Maid Cafe -- and we're currently recruiting Maids.

I know Maid and Lolita are not the same thing, but I also believe Lolitas understand the Maid style a great deal, and I wanted to let you all know about the Cafe.

We’ll have professional chefs in charge of cooking and serving foods, so Maids don’t need to worry about any of that. Instead, it’s about greeting customers. We’ll also be providing all the dresses (so don’t worry if you don’t have one), and when the con is over, Maids get to keep their outfits.

If anyone's curious about living the Maid life for a weekend, send me an e-mail at ptatara@reedexpo.com. Thank you.

Baby items missing... D:

EDIT: received a reply from BABY, they said missing items will be mailed out today, so hopefully they arrive next week some time..

I received my order from BtSSB today, and two of the items (my white bunny backpack and bloomers) were missing totally.

They were listed in the contents on the box, however when I opened it they weren't there. The box did look too small to hold all the items the moment i picked it up, but I figured they must just be a little squashed.

Has this happened to anyone else? Will baby believe me when I tell them D: I mean they were listed in the contents, I don't understand how whoever wrote the customs notice didn't check the bloody box >_____<

Fukuoka

Just a quick question here ^^. I searched through the memories and saw that there might be a babyssb and meta store in Fukuoka, can anyone confirm this, and are there any other lolita/ punk stores there?
Also, if you can tell me where they are at, it help a lot.
I might be studying abroad there, so that's why I ask :D

Thank you!

hi!

yes  i'm a huge noob but could someone please help me purchase a lucky pack from btssb?
even if i dont go through with it (depending on whether my parents say yes or not, but they're not home right now) i would really really like to know before their sale closes (which i think it does tonight ... eeep!)
a step by stap guide would be useful. i've gotten as far as getting to the sale corner but i cant seem to get any further (damn my non-japanese speaking ways!)

thanks for your time!!!

Excalibur Girls

I'm not sure if this should go in egl_comm_sales, but I found a new US based online lolita shop. It's called Excalibur Girls. The site design looks so professional and polished. I'm in love with the classic wool coat and the gingham jumper. I haven't tried ordering from it, but just thought I'd share.

Fashion Show

Calling all sewing lolitas! Otaku University, an anime conference coming up this September 29-30 in sunny Mesa, Arizona, is looking for contestants for the Fashion Show. Contestants are encouraged to enter two designs (with the use of models), one into both the "costume" and "apparel" categories, but it's not required to enter both. Handmade, original lolita or lolita-inspired designs would be eligible for the "apparel" category (as would outfits influenced by any other Japanese fashion). I encourage anyone who is interested to sign-up or ask me if you have any questions or concerns. :)

One of the judges who the designs will be presented to is Dennita Sewell, the Curator of Fashion Design from the Phoenix Art Museum. This is an opportunity to not only showcase your designs and compete for the prize, but get feedback from professionals.
