Hello all-

I've found a really great Victorian-era etiquette ebook online that I thought a few of you may be interested in. It's great for "lifestyle" lolitas, and even if you don't adhere to the lifestyle (which I personally don't), it's still a really interesting read.  It details how one should act and present oneself in polite society and on certain special occasions such as dinner parties, weddings, and funerals, and depending on which version you download it also has some great illustrations.  So whether you take it seriously, or for the lolz, I think it's worth checking out.

You can find it here.
By me!

To anyone who lives near Manchester and likes to sew, I've just been to Abbacan and they're selling musical themed ribbon! It's in BxW and WxB, and about an inch thick. The design is a stave with a melody running through it, I was going to buy some myself but I didn't have time.

Just thought I'd let those know who were interested!

Disclaimer: If this is not allowed to be posted here please tell me and I will delete it, I looked but didn't find anything that said I couldn't.

I have recently noticed that I have an overload of unused fabric and I have no idea what to do with it!

So I'm asking that lovely and talented people of EGL to help me out. ♥

The "How To" thread

I thought it would be fun for everyone to post tips and tricks that can benefit lolitas.
I will start:
1) Mr. Clean magic erasure works great on taking small stains off of parasols and shoes
2) Putting your shoes(please use caution. avoid shoes with fabric hanging from them or held together with lots of glue!!) on the top rack of your dishwasher, with a little bit of soap, is a great way to give them a face lift. It takes off all that caked dirt on the bottom of them shoes and also makes them look a lot whiter/brighter.
ok.. your turn!
