Old School (a la 2005-2009) Wardrobe!

Hi egl, my name is Stephanie and this is my second wardrobe post. Despite that, I have been in the fashion for many years now (around 7-8, jeesh!). I'd say my style is kind of everywhere, with the only unifying factor being a kind of old school vibe. I wear lolita daily so I have a lot more casual dresses than fancy ones, and I tend to prefer jumperskirts/OPs to skirts.

Since I've amassed way too many things in my years of collecting, I've focused mostly on main pieces in order to save time. I included some of my favorite boleros, jewelry, headbows, and purses, but couldn't include all of them. I skipped out on socks, blouses, parasols, and outerwear entirely. My apologies!

Skirts aren't arranged in any particular manner because I only have a few of them, but dresses are arranged according mostly according to release years. Based on release years and aesthetic, they are further divided into an 'old school' and a 'modern' category for each substyle. The two exceptions are my most populous theme (fruits) and my favorite theme (circus/carnival). I gave them each their own category because I thought it would be fun to give you guys a slightly more personalized snapshot of my taste. :) Let's begin!

AATP This is My Blood Balloon JSK in Offwhite (2005). This was one of my holy grail pieces! I wish I had it in every color, haha.

IW Ribbon Crown JSK in Wine/Bordeaux (2006). I found this for a pretty good deal when I went to Japan this summer, and I was overjoyed! This was the first time I'd ever even seen this dress in person.

IW Music Series Torchon Lace JSK in Black (2007). It's a pity that this dress came to me kind of faded, probably due to age. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how to fix up faded blacks a little?

Meta Romantic Train Shirring JSK in Pink (2009). I approve of fancy duck.

Meta Candy Star Rabbit JSK in Blue/Black (2009). I missed out on getting Candy Star Rabbit back when it was released, so I was happy to find it many years down the line! Blue/black is the only colorway of this series that I really like.

AP Memorial Cake Halterneck JSK in Black (2009). Funny story about this dress- I bought it back when it was first released, but I sold it quickly after in fear that it was too fancy for me to wear daily. I regretted it almost immediately, though, and this last year had a chance to buy it up again in the same colorway and cut! Sorry for the poor picture of this too. Lighting in my apartment sucks. ):

Meta Apple Print High Waist JSK in White and Black (2007). I LOVE how vibrant the apples are! This was always one of my dream series. Though the corduroy makes it hard to wear around here since it rains a lot, I always find a way. :) Black is my favorite colorway of this series, so I felt incredibly lucky when I snagged the jsk and the matching headbow up for about $100! Also note the worm that says "wow", lol.

Btssb Strawberry Letters Bustle JSK in Pink and Black (2008). The cards on the dress say "I love you" on them in different languages! That alone is pretty neat, and I adore the bustle too.

Chantilly Merry-Go-Round OP in Blue (2014). My only Chantilly piece for now! Gotta love the sparkles and the royal blue color.

AP Magical Etoile Rerelease JSK in Red (2014). I didn't know before I saw the dress up close that the stars in the print are shiny!

Headbows/Hair Accessories

Some of my headbows and hairclips reside on hanging rolls by over my desk, as shown above. Hair accessories are a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, however, so I have mountains more of them hidden away. These are my favorites/most used ones. Also, please excuse the repetition every once in awhile- I took these photos on two days that were weeks apart, so my brain failed to remember that I had already taken pictures of some of these. Purses

Present box purse and telephone purse both by Betsey Johnson. In case any of you were wondering, yes- the telephone on the purse actually works!! You hook it up to your cell phone and you can take calls with the receiver. :D Also featured in this picture is a Mint Neko keychain and my AP pillow.

Big heart purse is Heart E, small heart pochette is Btssb, and other purse is AP. Say hello to another Mint Neko keychain! I recently gifted this one to a friend. :)
