Kroe's 2016 Wardrobe

This is my first wardrobe post. I have been into lolita for a couple years now, and have been slowly collecting and making my wardrobe. I wear casual/classic/otome almost everyday. So that is where my wardrobe leans. Enjoy!
Just as a side note: This is only about half my wardrobe. I recently moved across the country, and what was supposed to only be for a few months has now turned into at least two years. So! Most of my wardrobe is back home in storage. I am hoping to get some more of it brought down this fall.
Onwards and Upwards!
Main pieces and such:

All Handmade.
1. I love this print. Who doesn't love butterflies and old perfume labels?
2. This JSK I made more recently, a couple months ago. I am OBSESSED with leopard print, and when I saw this gorgeous black flocky on black I knew I needed a dress out of it. Leopard, but not gaudy. Perfect.
3. I am a photographer by trade, so when I saw this print it was love at first sight. It's a heavier fabric, so i wouldn't normally sew a dress with it, but I couldn't resist.

ETC, Handmade, Handmade
1. I got this dress on closetchild and was surprised when it came that it is a heavier duck cotton type material! Odd. But I love the print and it coordinate beautifully. You may notice my straps are different than the original. My dog LOVES buttons and chewed half the straps off, so I had to fix them. Although I found the same colour duck, I could not find the same colour ribbon, so substituted for pink (Which I now prefer. Happy accidents!)
2. I love this print, but I have to remake the bodice. I made it a touch too small and so now it gives me pancake boob. SIGH.
3. I wear this dress fairly frequently. I like that it is simple and easy to wear.

Innocent World, Handmade
1. This is my first brand piece! I got it direct from the IW website. I just LOVE this print. I do wish I had gotten the JSK instead, as I have found skirts don't look as good on me. So I may sell this and grab the jsk at a later date.
2. I love this dress. It is my most recent, and best dress I have ever made. I spent way too much money on that fabric, but I am so pleased with the result.

Handmade, Handmade, ETC
1. Vintage blouse. I saw this fabric and it was destiny. That is all I can say. I love Peter Rabbit! This is one of my favourite dresses. I made it big and it is a bit like a sack and my mum tells me I look pregnant in it, but it is SO DAMN COMFY. This is my go to otome and chill dress.
2. Thrifted blouse. This skirt has a bit too much volume to be a real a-line lolita skirt, but once again I usually wear it pretty casually in a more vintage/otome way.
3. Another great buy of closetchild. I was so happy when this came in the mail. I am working on getting more dresses to fuel my food theme addiction.

Handmade, Thrifted/Malco Modes, Handmade
1. My current favourite dress. This is a gorgeous grey wool I got at a thrift store for 5$! I was so excited to get that huge piece of fabric home.
2. I didn't have enough dresses so here is a weird photo of a blouse with one of my petticoats.
3. This was my first princess seamed dress, and although I still like it, it drives me insane that the seams don't lay super flat...

1. Handmade Skirt, Vintage Blouse. I love this skirt, but I am going to remake it into a JSK when I finally get my fabric stash out of storage. I just don't wear skirts enough.
2. Handmade Skirt, Thrifted Blouse. I made this skirt because at work we have 'green fridays' and needed a bit more green in my wardrobe!
3. IW Skirt, Thrifted Blouse. This was a dream print of mine right from the beginning. I happened on the skirt on closetchild and just love it. <3
Blouses and the like:

Thrift, Thrift, Elle via Kohls.
1. Cute burnt orange cutsew. I like the little flutter sleeves.
2. Nice little half jacket. I wear this to work a fair amount.
3. I needed this when I saw it. I am still trying to work out what to wear it with though.

Liz Lisa, Thrift, Winners
1. I got this of Y!Auctions. It is a gorgeous blouse I wear frequently.
2. I saw this wool bolero at a thrift store in my old city and couldn't believe my luck!
3. I like that the lace overlay goes on top of JSK's. Gives them a very fairy-type feel.
Coats and Jackets:

Handmade, Thrifted, APT9 Via Kohls
1. I got a pattern for a spencer jacket like in pride and prejudice. I like how it turned out and am working on a second more loli version.
2. Another AMAZING thrift store find. Virgin Wool, made in Canada, pristine condition, 10$, life was good.
3. A bit of a splurge for me, but I got it on a great sale and needed a shorter, lighter, trench style because the winters are WAY warmer here than I am used to. The earmuffs I got while a friend was visiting me and we went to an outdoor market. They are huge and wonderfully fluffy.
Cardigans, Shoes, Accessories, and Tights:

Cardigans are all thrifted or target. I have way more. I hoard cardigans... but these are my most visually interesting ones.
Shoes. <333 Something I dearly miss are my shoes. I left most of my shoes in storage, and miss those beautiful souls desperately. All are thrifted except for the bottom row, which are all TUK.

1 & 2. Tights. I am a tight hoarder. I feel like there should be an anonymous group for this. "Hi, I'm Brynn and I have a tight obsession" These are just a sampling of half a drawer full.
3. Cute Winter scarf
4. Berets are all from ebay, and the accessories are all handmade with the exception of the gold brooch. I left all of my hats and accessories back home as well. So I have been making some to fill the void.
WOW. That was a lot of work!
Going through it I think this year I want to focus on more blouses and headwear. (But tell that to the huge pile of dress fabrics I have accumulated)
I hope you enjoyed my handmade/otome/casual wardrobe!
