Sweet-Gothic Fusion?

Hey, it's me again. I made a post a while back about trying to find Lolita (Gothic) things for my rather tall, thin frame. I still haven't managed to get anything yet, being unemployed, but I have been looking into more things, notably the idea of a Gothic-Sweet Lolita fusion of styles.

Which begs the question, is it possible to do the two styles together considering how different they are from each other.

I've seen people do combinations of Gothic and Classic or Sweet and Classic, but I have yet to see an example of Sweet and Gothic. I bring this up because I've been getting more interested in the Sweet side of Lolita, but I don't want to go all out with it (I'm not exactly a pastal colors kinda girl) and want to keep some of my own Gothic tastes involved.

Is it possible to do these two together and if it is, what sort of suggestions could you make in terms of putting together a Gothic-Sweet coord for a newbie Lolita?
