Places to buy decent lace for making your own lolita pieces?

I've heard that as long as the lace is of good quality and isn't stiff or hard then it's acceptable on a dress or skirt. I'm interested in making my own skirt and I was wondering if anyone knew where to purchase some good quality lace. I'm interested in gothic lolita and old school gothic lolita. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Honestly I'm a little surprised I couldn't find this question in the FAQ.
