Help with a hair piece

So, this is another part for that co-ordinate I'm making for that thing in November (Now I think about it, I'm going with a bolero. To Vinnies I go!). Cause I'm a) not wearing a wig (which means dealing with a mop of shoulder length hair that's a pain to work with), and b) trying to save money, I'm making a head piece for it, out of three fabric flowers (Two black, one a darkish red), which I have already sewn together (Image below, sorry for poor quality, and my messy sewing)
So, I have reached another pitfall. I've got the flowers, and some ribbon (a new clip needs to be bought), but I'm not sure what to do with the ribbon. I also want to create a few strings of small pearls (fake, cause I'm a bit of a cheapskate), to carry a few other elements of the co-ord. Maybe I could thread pearls onto the ribbon? I've make a necklace using beads and piece of ribbon before, you just need a yarn needle. I also want to add something silver-- all the metal jewellery in the co-ord is silver
Any suggestions?
