So this time I want to participate. (Especially to give myself motivation to keep improving my coords. :p)
2010: The year I decided to buy my first dress ever.
I had just started lurking this community, and discovered Bodyline by a French reseller Capsule Tokyo (which btw increased the prices a lot. -_-). I used money I got for Christmas to buy this dress that I found really pretty and lovely at that time.
2011: Experimenting
I have very few pictures of myself from 2011 but I found that one. I discovered what Lolita was and was not. I didn't have the money at that time and I was too shy to talk about that to people around me, so I experimented using my dresses as JSKs over my everyday blouses.
2012: « I prefer Lolita without petticoat »
I got this Bodyline skirt (which is still one of my favourite skirts) but I decided to go without petticoat. First, I was afraid it wouldn't suit me, and secondly, I preferred going progressively with my family and other people around me.
2013: First actual Lolita coords
I lived alone for 5 months during an Erasmus trip in the Netherlands. As there was nobody to look at what I did on my PC, I spent all my time watching EGL and egl_comm_sales. I discovered that the shop Summer Tales Boutique (at that time Fly Away Fashion) was very close to where I lived and decided to pay it a visit. I also decided that I didn't need to feel guilty for spending money in Lolita clothes. After all it's not less useful than PC games nor fabric for cosplays. It's just another hobby. I thus decided to pay a visit to Summer Tales Boutique, discover the wonderful atmosphere and seller of a Lolita shop and bought there my first Lolita coord. (On the picture)
2014: Daily lolita!
I completed my wardrobe using a lot of my money (for all the frustration I had got previous years from forcing myself not to buy these clothes :p) and after wearing Lolita once or twice at work without any bad reaction from my colleagues, I started wearing it every day, which helped my coords improving a lot.
I still have a long way to go before being good enough to make as wonderful coords as elder Lolitas here, but I'm already happy with how it is, and especially that I can wear it every day if I want. :)
