Lolita Desu Review (Positive)

Hello, hello! I am [painfully] slowly building up my lolita wardrobe, and I figured I would post a review for 2nd hand/reseller Lolita Desu, out of Tokyo. As I only ordered one item, this is quite short (though full of photos :o), but I hope it helps some of you all the same! (^-^)

I ordered Innocent World's Puppy Skirt in black (here's the pink stock photo from Lolibrary)

Ordering on the website is very clear and easy, and once you place your order, along with your confirmation email you are informed that an account is automatically made for you on the website so that you may monitor your order. I quite impatiently stalked said account over the next few days, so it was a nice touch!

I made my order on June 9th. One thing that confused me is that the FAQ states that an order will first be marked as Awaiting Shipment (it's been accepted and needs to be shipped, pretty self-explanatory). Afterwards it is supposed to go to Awaiting Pickup, which means it is packaged and ready to ship on their next post day, but my order never went through this step--it went straight to shipped! Of course, not a problem, just a bit of confusion. My EMS tracking number said it'd be here today the 15th, and sure enough, it came!

Since it's just a skirt, I don't think it could have been packaged much better. A little steaming should spruce it right up, and I was so excited to see that cute little pup peeking at me. :3 This is it laid out.

It's a Medium, which claimed to fit something like 54-76cm or something, and as a 73cm I was a little worried, but it fits fine. Snug, but not at all painful. The item description noted the missing back bow, and few "miniscule and unnoticeable lines and dots" I'm not sure about you, but I'd say these lines are pretty noticeable.

But I'm sure I can find a way to cover those up (any tips?) I also got a cute Laura Ashley calendar as a free gift, which I will use for the rest of the year! I'm so happy to have my first lolita skirt, not to mention from my favorite brand!
(;^;)

In short, I am quite satisfied with my order, and would use Lolita Desu again--especially since their blog says they'll be moving away from reselling and more towards 2nd hand sales. (And perhaps even lower prices?)

I have only tried on the skirt so far, but the fabric is thick though not especially heavy, and very comfortable. The band is secured with a snap as well as two hooks, so I am not at all worried about it pulling down. (^-^;) The print is vibrant, and none of the blacks or dark browns have bled onto the slightly rigged cream background. Well, it's a solid brand skirt, what do you expect? >:D

Worn photo (please excuse the incomplete coord [want to change the shoes, what do you think of them?], saddest of petties, and lack of head [my hair was most uncooperative])
27 My shot for lolitadesu--So glad Innocent World is my first brand piece

Communication: 5/5
Shipping Time: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5
Quality: 4/5
Overall: 4.5/5
*This is my first post, so I apologize for any mistakes--mods if I have missed something please let me know!

Update 6/20/14:
I got the Paypal refund from Lolita Desu for dry cleaning my skirt today, as promised! I was really surprised at the offer, since the marks were described and it was my own silly mind that made them seem lesser. Communication was again very prompt and extremely polite. I most certainly would use them again!
