'Wait, when did _______ go out of style!?' : Lolita trends you wish hadn't died out
After reading through a few posts here on EGL, and browsing through some of Meta's old-school offerings, it got me waxing nostalgic. How I long for deep, rich jewel tones to return to prominence in lolita, and warm emerald greens and purples to come back, and big chunky shoes for that matter. What about you? Were you a fan of the split wigs? Did mismatched shoes tickle your fancy? What trends in lolita do you wish had stayed alive and current?
1. When did solid colored tights stop being acceptable? Over the last couple of months, I've gotten the impression that plain white/colored tights and OTKs weren't enough anymore. I know they're sort of plain, but I feel like printed tights with an over-saturated dress just overwhelms the eye. Does everything have to be gaily colored and patterned now?
2. Fawn fur, how I love thee! Please don't die! I love you to bits!
3. Animal bags! They tend to be sweet only, and terribly impractical, but gosh were they cute!
