my 2014 wardobe post

I did a wardobe post in 2011 and 2012 but I skipped last year.  Since my last post, I collected some new things and started experimenting with different styles.  My core is still sweet/classic with a heavy otome-kei influence, but I've been dabbling more in gothic, dolly-kei, and OTT classic too.  My wardrobe is still mostly handmade dresses and another change since my last post as been doing more with designing prints and making accessories with my hobby "brand" Mossbadger.

My closet arrangement hasn't changed much, other than getting more cramped, so I didn't take new photos of my whole setup. But, in preparation for this post I reorganized my accessories and while still a work in progress, I'm happy with it so far. (I still need to build a headband stand and to make something to hold my rosettes/hairclips that can be mounted on that blank wall above/behind the necklaces.)

And now for the actual stuff.  (All the photos link to larger versions on my Flickr, if you want to see more detail.)
I always do accessories first, because I love them very much!  If you don't - scroll down - dresses are at the end :)

Things I put on my head:

brown velveteen bonnet: Excalibur Girls.  black and cream bonnets: Atelier Pierrot.

various hats: all vintage, except the boater.

tricolor biscuit, gold knight, and floral cat rosettes by Mossbadger, gingham bow biscuit by Dearie, pink teacup cat rosette by Revolutionary Revolution, fuzzy bow and stars by Paradise Rose.

violin brooches by Moss Marchen, cat rosettes by Mossbadger.
(Sorry for the Instagram filter - I forgot to save the original image.
Also, I guess I wear rosette-type things as brooches as much as in my hair, but in the "on my head" section they shall stay.)

some of the bows I've made to match my handmade dresses.

Metamorphose apple print head-eating bow, Baroque chiffon thing (it's really a detachable collar but I bought it to use as a headpiece after seeing it used that way in one of her photoshoots), Angelic Pretty Glass Bottle of Tears half bonnet.

Giant Dwarf antique glitter star headband and clips, Innocent World Frederick bunny brooch, Angelic Pretty brown hairbows, Kinki Kitty b&w hairbows.

vintage pink rose fascinator, handmade floral hairclips from various sources.

fascinator on the top right is by Baroque, bottom left with the deer is handmade by myself, and the other two are vintage.

Paradise Rose autumn flower crown, Pretty Good Things deer fascinator, Kidsyoyo headband.

I have so many basic flower clips since they are good for beefing up a headpiece or wearing in clusters.  This is some of them - a mix of vintage, handmade from silk flowers, H&M/Forever 21 etc.

Sweet Mildred blue floral headband, Angelic Pretty Powder Rose headband, vintage brown velveteen/netting headband.

I Do Declare ribbon antlers, Sweet Mildred key headpiece, Enchantlic Enchantilly floral headpiece.

Bracelets (Angelic Pretty, Betsey Johnson, vintage brass charm bracelet, offbrand pearls, Dream Princess lavender bear) hatpins, and badges (the felt ones are by Hime+You and Kira Imai).

Absent on picture day: this awesome donut bracelet that has somehow gone missing! Grrr!!

Hatpins again (oops) and brooches from various sources (handmade, vintage, Innocent World, Paradise Rose).

I arranged the rings like this for ease of labelling - I don't normally display them by brand :)  Upper left corner is vintage and offbrand.  Below that are Moss Marchen moss crown, Emily Temple Cute tiny crown, Automatic Honey bat, Aerie_Star macaron.  Upper middle are Angelic Pretty, upper right are Paradise Rose.  The rest on the bottom are handmade by me.  The glass topped/resin rings are Mossbadger, and I made the sweets rings and big cabochon rings a few years back.

More accessories:

Winter faux fur stuff.  Offbrand thing (is it a scarf?  is it a headband?  I've done both), Bathina fawn collar, Swimmer fawn earmuffs, Angelic Pretty bunny scarf, offbrand mittens, and BTSSB bunny earmuffs.  (I'm sorry if the second picture is a series of black blobs.)

Pouches and pass holder things.  Arpakasso earmuffs and pouch, Putumayo cat, Angelic Pretty Little Bear, BTSSB tiniest usakumya , Deery Lou, and the rest are Ahcahcum Muchacha.

Wristcuffs: cream and black are BTSSB, rest are Angelic Pretty.

Socks and tights:

All Angelic Pretty except the diamonds at bottom left, which are Metamorphose.

Aqua and brown/cream dots are Emily Temple Cute, the rest are Enchantlic Enchantilly.

Angelic Pretty top left, BTSSB bottom right, the rest offbrand.

I wasn't going to bother photographing any tights even though I wear them a lot with Lolita, but then I realized I'd left out my Metamorphose black lace-topped OTKs and felt guilty (they were my first brand socks, how could I leave them out?) so here is an arbitrary selection of my tights so the socks have some company in the photo.  Teja Jamilla narwhals, Celeste Stein cats, Taobao macarons, Ophanim victorian scrap, Moonkitty magical girl, Baroque Kingdom of Lolita (wine and black), offbrand toile.

Shoes:

BAGS omg i love bags.

Angelic Pretty Honey Cake & Donut, Swimmer Biscuit.

offbrand giant red heart (my laptop fits in there!) and tiny black heart, Angelic Pretty Dot Heart.

Ahcahcum Muchacha cats and offbrand deer.

vintage large berry basket, Heart E black berry basket.

Korilakkuma and offbrand pumpkin.  (I actually have a dress that matches this perfectly but I forgot to include it below since it's so casual.)

BTSSB, Angelic Pretty, Q-Pot.

Milk and Metamorphose.

Now clothes!  First, blouses and boleros.  The pink-background photos are reused from last time, and the rest of my blouses and boleros are co-starring in the dress photo section.

BTSSB blouses
Fully shirred BTSSB blouses in white, black, and cream.  The black has detachable sleeves, which are perpetually somewhere other than where the blouse is.

white blouses
Kidsyoyo long sleeved, Surface Spell short sleeved.

bolero and cutsew cardigan
English Charm eyelet bolero (has detachable sleeves that must have run off with the other detachable sleeves) and Surface Spell cutsew cardigan.

cardigans/boleros
Kidsyoyo pink cardigan and HMHM black bolero (sorry about the bad contrast/color on this photo.)

Outerwear:

moto jacket
Cropped velvet moto jacket from Domino Dollhouse.

Maxicimam brown coat and offbrand black coat.

Skirts:

h.NAOTO. While it's intended to serve either as a skirt or as a petticoat, I basically use it as a petticoat.  (The rest of my petticoats felt too "underwear" to include.)

Metamorphose old school sailor skirt, handmade carousel skirt, Enchantlic Enchantilly Phantom Merry-Go-Round.

Kinki Kitty chiffon skirt and detachable corset belt, Snow Field Wolf in Frame, Baroque Kingdom of Lolita.

Brand jumperskirts:

Metamorphose: Apple Shirring Tiered JSK, Candy Star Rabbit Shirring JSK.

Last but hopefully not least, my handmade jumperskirts.  These are vaguely in order of when I made them.  I used to use mainly Japanese and vintage fabrics, but since I started Mossbadger I have been doing more silkscreening and getting my own designs or public domain artwork (whee, painting dresses) digitally printed through Spoonflower.

And that's all!  Now I can go somewhere that isn't in front of the computer look at everyone else's posts! Thanks for reading, and comments are extremely appreciated.  2014 will be my seventh year dressing in Lolita and I'm looking forward to all the outfits and sewing ahead!
