Wardrobe of a chiffon lover II

gg4

Hello Egl!  This is my second time posting my wardrobe, you can see the 2013 post Here.
I can't believe a year passed already.. I didn't expect that I'd present my wardrobe again this year,
but it changed a lot, I sold a lot of dresses and found two of my dream dresses!

As some may recall, I have a deep love for the chiffon fabric.
I believe this is from the ethereal and airy feeling it gives to outfits, I find it most inspiring.
I do not post a lot, but if some of you are interested, here is my simple tumblr:
Mlle-Marianne.tumblr.com

First the dresses;
I tried to separate them by color and fabric (chiffon and not chiffon), but it wasn't that
easy, so there is chiffon in the non-chiffon category and vice-versa.

My beloved chiffon dresses:

IMG_3732
Black dresses
Cotton Gathered Underdress (not in chiffon) & Fairy Chiffon Doll dress, both from Victorian Maiden
I will soon change the first one for the peach colorway and maybe at some point I will do the
same for the chiffon one.

Lace x Chiffon dresses:

IMG_3285
Lace Frill Overdress & Gilet Dentelle Jsk, from Victorian Maiden
I loooove these, because they have a mori feel too, I'm happy to now be able to do simple mori x lolita
outfits with them. The one on the right was in my wishlist for a quite a while!

Pale dresses:

IMG_3710
Chiffon Petal Ribbon Dress & Shirring Chiffon Under dress
Victorian Maiden

IMG_3716

Chiffon cape and dress from R-Series
The dress is my first one of that style and is the one from which I got all of my "chiffon inspiration",
It unfortunately is a bit transparent and not as well made as my others one, but I still adore it and will
probably never sell it <3 .

IMG_3655
Madeleine chiffon dress, Mary Magdalene
It was one of my 3 dream dresses :)

IMG_3652

Farutetto Jsk from Mary Magdalene

I am very glad to have this one in my collection now, the picture doesn't do it justice unfortunately.

Pink dresses:

IMG_3558

Unknown  & El Friedmann jsks, both from Mary magdalene
The jsk of the left is an (non-chiffon) unknown MM dress, I even wonder if it is a one of a kind model.

IMG_3637
Lace-Up Puff Sleeve Doll op & Petal Frill Bustier Dress
Both from Victorian Maiden

finale1

Elmelia op from Mary Magdalene

Blue dresses:
IMG_3291

Flocky chiffon dresses from Victorian Maiden
The print is actually not the same on each, only the shape is the same.
(They looked better this way then simply flat on my bed..)

IMG_3702
Chopiana dress(ok this one isn't in chiffon) & Fairy Doll Dress,
both from Victorian Maiden

IMG_0530

La robe de la Danse from Juliette et Justine
(Picture I took from my last year post, it looks better then the recent picture)
Unfortunately, JetJ didn't "close" the fabric, so the dress is falling apart so I do not wear it much...
even to it is one of my favorite :(

IMG_3746

My precious, the holy grail of my collection, my favorite dress: Fée d'une fleur from Juliette et Justine
I can't describe with words how I love this dress and how it is a constant inspiration.
I find that it "embody" the whole airy-chiffon atmosphere that I love.

Dresses in different fabrics
(But I still adore them)

Flowers dresses:

IMG_3673

Rococo Rose long jsk from Innocent World & Adelaide Rose Dress from Victorian Maiden

The IW one is my only IW dress left and was one of my first dress too. I like it's length and
the "country" look it gives.

Brown x gold dresses

IMG_3694
Morgane op & Merrilees jsk (chiffon)
Both from Mary Magdalene

I am trying to find the previous release of the Morgane in the same colorway, but for
now this will do very well :)

Red dresses:

IMG_3718

Regimental Stripe Tuck Dress from Victorian Maiden & Chiffon op from Krad Lanrete

Wool dress:

IMG_3265
Cordelia Puff Sleeves op, Mary Magdalene

I have to admit that I am cheating here, since I sold the pink colorway recently..!
This dress is very useful for the canadian winter since it is very warm!

Vintage feel dresses:

IMG_4182
Victorian Noble Bustier op & Victorian Noble Mermaid jsk
both from Victorian Maiden
I really like these, despite the fact that I do not associate them so much with the lolita fashion.
I prefer to do vintage / flapper outfits with those and the one on the right is one of my favorite!

The Ludovica's:

IMG_3532
Ludovica Gathers dress & Ludovica Frill dress, both Victorian Maiden

The Snow Whites:

IMG_3668

Claudia, The fairy tale princess op & Wicked Princess op From btssb
(With some accessories from the same brand that matches)

You may think that those doesn't match with my general straight classic looks, but the Claudia op has been my first dream dress. I was still in the punk-lolita fashion when that dress came out. I instantly fall in love with it, but at that point I couldn't spend that much on a dress, it was still an absurd concept to me. So everyday I would go on the tokyo rebel website to look at it, until it went sold out..
My style evolved a lot, but it kept being in the top of my wishlist and this summer, when I saw the Wicked Princess release I
decided to buy it, since it look quite similar. Two weeks after my order is made and paid I got an opportunity through friends to get the Claudia op! I hadn't received the Wicked Princess op, but I couldn't let that chance passes ether, so I bought it, and here is why I have the two of them! I still prefer the Claudia and will sell the wicker princess one at some point though :)

Innocent World coat, this one is practical for Fall, but unfortunately isn't enough for the canadian winter

IMG_3884

My beloved Victorian Maiden coat : Rose Lace coat with hood cape <3
I use this one during winter

Skirts:

I tend to prefer dresses over skirts because I find more inspiration in them, so my skirts collection
is quite small. I hope that next year I will expand more this section by "falling in love" with more skirts :)

From Victorian Maiden

Offbrand underskirt

IMG_3777
Mermaid skirts
offbrand, and the two last are from Victorian Maiden
- I know those aren't particularly lolita, but they are practical for daily-life
and I love the vintage feel they give -

IMG_3786

MmM floral skirt and a vintage night dress that didn't belong anywhere!

I mostly wear pearls, it is my 2nd favorite material after chiffon!
Almost all vintage or offbrand, but the two earings on the pink box are from VM

Parasols:

IMG_3910

Fairy parasol from VM (with chiffon <3), unknown parasol from VM
Innocent world umbrella
I am glad that I found the two VM one this year, I felt that it was a need in my vm collection!
Of course those aren't 'THE' classic vm parasols, but I love them so much anyway. I do not use them so
much though, only to meetings.

Hats:

IMG_4069
I loove hats! I hope that someday I will have the materials to do some for myself!
First two are from VM (the bonnet and the "canotier"), the big straw one in the back is
handmade by me,  the wool one on the right is from Axes Femmes. The rest is offbrand or vintage.

IMG_4061
First lace one are from VM, the wristcuff from MM, the rest is vintage :)

Printed tights:

IMG_4166
(First two VM, the rest Grimoire)
I am not a big fan of prints usually, unless it is on tights! It adds just a little touch of
fantasy to outfits, while keeping them simple. I have many more tights of lace too.
