I dislike the idea of accumulating items that only have one function, so I'd like to get a bag that I can also use when I'm wearing mainstream fashion - in other words, make it my "main" bag, the one I'd grab without a thought. I prefer big purses over small ones, because I always carry lots of stuff with me. I also use my current main bag as a school bag (to college). This, while it was originally meant as art, can give you an idea of what I carry on a busy day (I don't use that backpack anymore, except for traveling). Just replace all the folders but one with a 10" netbook (not a thin ultrabook thing either), remove the backpack which is only the container, and you have an idea of what I want to be able to carry for whole days. I will compromise (use a different, less lolita-esque bag for school) if I must, but I'd like to avoid it.
My question is, are Lolita brand bags sturdy enough for this amount of stuff? I know that some brand bags are big enough for school books and that sort of stuff, but would they be big enough for a netbook, a (thin) A4 folder, a couple paperbacks AND regular daily-life stuff? And more importantly, could they handle the weight? How does the solidity of brand bags compare to that of offbrand / Taobao bags? I was originally going to buy a Loris bag, but then there was that horror story about the very one I wanted to buy, and that's why I'm looking into brand. Could Lolita brand bags stand what I do with mine? Or would I be better off looking for a nice loliable bag in mainstream fashion?
