Lolita's longevity

This question has been around since 2005 or so- and lolita still lives on- but it still remains. How long do you think lolita will continue to thrive? Definitely not anytime soon I think, since brands are still coming up with lots of new releases. Do you think it will still be a hit 8 years from now? If not, why?

Sorry if this sounds like a game of 20 questions- I wasn't 100% sure how to word this! Thanks for your input :)
