Signing up for Mbok question

So I recently moved to Japan for a study abroad program, and after getting everything set up (making a bank account, getting a cellphone) I thought I'd make myself a Mbok account for my little lolita collecting hobby. However, when I went to put in my American credit card's information, it wouldn't accept it. I tried multiple times, but no matter what, I can't seem to get it to work. It was then that I saw that you can sign up without a credit card through your Japanese cellphone by scanning a QR code and having the membership fee added to your cellphone bill. I scanned the QR code and sent my information, but nothing's happened yet! Did I do something wrong? Anyone else have experience with Mbok Accounts?
