Hello EGL! First I have to say that this is my second post to livejournal ever, so please bear with me if the formatting is screwed up. And excuse my photoshop skills...
I am creating a map of "set-in-stone" lolita stores all over the world! This list should serve as a shopping guide to lolitas everywhere, and will hopefully be very helpful to the community! I know I have missed shopping opportunities by not scouting out the local area I was traveling to after I started research for this map. So it should help people who have my problem.
Its very time consuming to find new stores, and the information about each. I know there are a ton of stores that very few people know about. Some stores I can find all of the information on, but the address doesn't work in Google maps for one reason or another, so the stores cannot be added to the list. So thats where you come in...
Thats right, ladies and gents! I need your help with this project.
I'm looking for shops that sell lolita clothing and accessories all over the world. I might also include other stores, depending on the results of this poll. It is mainly because lolita fashion stores are few and far between outside of Japan, and the map looks quite empty except for the huge cluster of stores in that area. Bookstores would only be included if they stocked the GLB, Gosu Rori or any other lolita reading material (the chain kinokumiya would be a bookstore example, I know they sell GLB as I bought one from one earlier this year). Other related jfashion brands include 6% DokiDoki, Emily Temple Cute, etc. Pretty much any brand that it is popular for lolitas to use items from.
Should bookstores and stores selling related jfashion clothing that is often considered loliable be included as well?
Regardless of this polls results, I will be including as many lolita stores as we can find. Big or small, it does not matter. If it does not sell purely lolita items, it can also be added to this list. I'm posting here because people in local communities have a much better chance of knowing about those small types of stores. It can also be very tricky to find ones in non English-speaking countries, as I don't know the correct search terms! I just discovered the shopping guide tag on EGL, and I shall be spending the next hour or so filling the map with all of the goodness that has been posted here in the past!
The link to the map is at the bottom of this post. If you know of any that aren't listed on the map, no matter how obvious*, please leave a comment below with as much information as possible on the stores. It does not matter if they mark up prices on bodyline, or sell replicas, anything goes. The map shows ALL lolita stores, and its up to the individuals which ones they choose to go to. Information should be formatted as so:
Brief description of store (1-2 sentences, copied from website**)
Website:
.
Address (must show correct location in Google maps. A lot do not if they have been put through a translator. Stores in malls must include information on how to find them in the mall):
*If it is a name brand store with multiple locations, please leave the name of the store and a link to its shop list so I can add them all to the map
**This is to avoid any complications with angry shop owners, although I doubt they would happen, I am not taking any chances. If you are a store owner, you are invited to provide your own description.
