bodyline review!! L388, L364, L325
(this is my first review, if i missed any points that you'd like to hear about, just let me know!)
also: sorry some of the photos are dark!! it's raining a lot today and i was excited and i forgot to get good lighting for some photos. ^ ^"
i placed my first order from bodyline and it came in today!
i ordered on june 26th and got it this morning, so it arrived in 5 days with EMS shipping. it was expensive, but my parents preferred that since bodyline seems to not have customer support for regular air mail shipping? or at least that's what i understood from their website.
the bag that it was shipped in had a small hole in it, but i have no idea when in the shipping process that happened and nothing inside was damaged anyway. uwu

they were all in their own individual bags, as expected.

blouse first! this is L364 in gen (?? i never knew what that stood for.) right out of the bag.

i planned on removing the sewn-on pearls with a seam ripper when i ordered it, but i changed my mind when i saw the blouse in person. i love it a lot!! i got it in 2L and it fits so nicely. if you have a large bust, this blouse has enough buttons to prevent a button gap and that is great. (i have a fanplusfriend blouse that only has 4-5 buttons and it gaps horribly, even though i fit the measurements. ;w;)
closeup on the lace and pearls:

the pearls and buttons are sewn on really well and i'm happy with them. the lace is a bit stiff but isn't itchy at all and it looks really nice too!
the construction overall is very nice and the fabric is good quality.
----
i was excited to see that they had not only restocked L325, but added 2 more colors!! i had been eyeing it for a while but they were out of 2L in black (the color i liked prior to the restock). i liked the brown a lot more than black, so i got that one!

(one of the layers in the front was folded up a little bit in the photo and i didn't notice until now, oops)
the fabric feels similar to the blouse and it's very sturdy. the skirt has 5 bones in it-- one on either side of the shirring panel, one on either side of the corset lacing, and one on the side of the skirt opposite to the zipper.

(this photo is out of focus, sorry! my camera doesn't like cooperating sometimes and it refused to focus properly for this shot)
the rivets that the ribbon is laced through feel very sturdy. there is indeed a little bit of lace decorating the corset lacing area, running down either side, which isn't visible in the stock photos on bodyline's website. it's good quality as well uwu
also!! my waist is ~84.5cm. the max measurement for this skirt in size 2L is 82cm. i was really unsure whether it would fit but i figured that the lacing in the front plus shirring in the back meant i could probably fit into it anyway. i was very excited to find out that i didn't even need to loosen the corset lacing in the front!! it fits reeeeally comfortably, the shirring definitely can stretch a bit more past my size, and the corset lacing can be loosened a bit more as well. if you're over the max measurements for this skirt by a bit, it is really likely that it'll still fit you comfortably!

the OP (L388) in sax was what i was most excited for!! admittedly, i did look over this OP on bodyline's site until i saw someone selling it on the sales comm, and it looked so much nicer in their pictures than it did in stock photos.

the biggest thing i noticed was that the chiffon was a different shade of blue than the rest of the dress. the difference is definitely more noticeable in person than it is in photos. the chiffon is more of a mix between mint and sax, while the rest of the dress is definitely sax, but i think it still looks very nice.

the sleeves are detachable!! personally i think the dress looks a lot nicer when the sleeves are removed. there are four buttons (pretty evenly spaced) around the inside of the shorter sleeve, and the long sleeves have four elastic loops that go on the buttons, all very securely sewn on.

a closer look at the bodice! the lace is a little shiny, but it still looks nice. it's a lot softer than the lace on the blouse! the bows look nice too, and are all sewn onto the bodice.

the zipper is sewn in nicely and works well. it's hidden with a little...pocket flap thing (?) that covers the zipper well and it isn't noticeable when worn, so that's a plus. the zipper matches the dress so it doesn't stand out or anything.

someone told me a few days ago that some edges of the chiffon are not finished, and they aren't. when worn, it isn't noticeable as of now, but it looks like after wearing it a few times it might start to fray. i'll fix that if needed in the future.

it also comes with a choker, although i don't really plan on using it much. i did see a picture of someone wearing it as a headdress/headband and it might work better that way, i'll have to see.
i realized i mis-measured my bust when i ordered this. i thought i was around 94-95 cm, and decided with the help of some reviews and commenters that size M would still fit, since 2L is sold out in sax! turns out i'm actually around 100cm in the bust (i have no clue how i made that mistake. oops.) FORTUNATELY, the OP still fits!! it feels a little tight in the chest but it still looks fine. i do NOT recommend getting it in M if you're around 100cm, it definitely feels like i managed to fit the absolute maximum.
if you want it, get it in 2L (if 2L restocks, that is. ; w ;) i considered posting in the comm sales and asking to trade for a 2L in sax, but i realized i'm planning on losing weight anyway so i guess i've got myself some accidental motivation!

worn photos:

my petti is a little deflated on one side today (?? idunno how that happened) so i had to hold up one side a tiny bit, but you get the idea!!)
----
overall, i am really happy with my order. everything is nice quality and the package got here a lot faster than i expected!! i can't wait to wear all of this.
if you want photos of anything in particular or have any questions i'll do my best to help! (i'll get worn photos in a little bit. it's summer vacation and i woke up late, so i'm a bit messy right now heehee)
