Zipper problem

I have a skirt which zipper is rather problematic. It seems to get stuck, it doesn't matter am I wearing the skirt or not. I fear damaging the skirt or breaking the zipper (done that with other item...) if I pull it close too hard.

So, how to make the zipper work properly or do I have to replace it?
