I immediately messaged CosplayWigsUSA about this discrepancy via Paypal. I had paid via a Paypal balance instead of a credit card. In hindsight, I now know to pay for items with a credit card only, to have an extra means of protection.
In any case, when I contacted Cosplay Wigs USA, they informed me that they sold out of the Marie Antoinette wig. It continues to be available on the website and is also available via their Ebay store. Hmmmm. Instead, they wanted to issue me store credit for another purchase instead of a refund. I explained that I only wanted the Marie Antoinette wig and, because of their error, should compensate me for return shipping on the Lady Vuitton wig. They responded that they would only reimburse my shipping after having the wig in hand.
Well, I never did see a refund, and I never posted back the Lady Vuitton wig. Not understanding how a Paypal dispute works, I failed to "upgrade" it to a real case and instead, logged into my account one day to find the dispute inactive. I tried to contact Cosplay Wigs USA via their website and their Facebook site about posting the wig back, and have not received a response at all. I am wary about sending the wig back at this point because I fear they will just keep it without doing the right thing.
I'm really disappointed in this customer service, as well as the Lady Vuitton wig which is the equivalent of a cheap Leg Ave costume wig, looking extremely cheap even through the packaging.
Just thought I would share this experience to alert others that this company is not about costumer service in the slightest.
