Habits you've picked up without realizing you had

I figured, since the LJ page is sort of slow and there hasn't been a fun little post like this for a while, we could all have some fun. We describe a habit that we've picked up from Lolita, and then a question we've always wondered, but were never brave enough or bored enough to ask the rest of the comm.

I'll start. I'm so paranoid of accidentally sitting on my petticoat and flattening it that at Anime Club, I sit on the stairs rather than in an actual seat, and when sitting in public, I have to pick benches for fear of annihilating its poof. I have actually contemplated taking a folding barstool with me wherever I go just in case. The modern world is not petticoat-safe. :<

Those fears were justified when I was still relying on a net petticoat, but now that I have an 'Organdy' petticoat, has this changed? How do I actually SIT in a petticoat?
