circle lense questions

I've been milling over purchasing circle lenses. One of my friends told me that I probably can't wear one's that are not the same basic color of my eyes. I however would like to wear lenses that turn my naturally grey blue eyes green. Is it possible for me to wear lenses this color without having an obvious grey blue ring in the center, or without diluting the very green color into a teal?

Also if anyone has a preferred brand that would be great especially one that has a wide range of base curve options I'd love links.
