Indie Brand Introduction: Perianth

Hello lovelies! Perianth has participated in a few US fashion shows on the East Coast, but hasn't been formally introduced to the lolita community & egl. Recently, Perianth's shop has been updated, a facebook fan page created and many items have been listed for everyone to see. With this recent re-vamping, I figured now would be a great time to tell everyone about Perianth!

Perianth: Lolita Style
Perianth is a brand combining lolita with mori girl & dolly kei styles.
Perianth uses natural materials and earth tones as well as deep luxurious jewel tones. Hand knitted or crocheted items, and vintage trims are often incorporated as part of the design. Forests & folklore, woodland flora & fauna, myths & legends, creepy creatures & mysteries of the esoteric--these are inspirations worked into the pieces of Perianth.

Perianth still maintains a classic lolita feel, with pieces that can be dressed up for luxurious OTT lolita or dressed down for a more casual look. However, I've always liked the idea of "multipurpose" lolita clothes & accessories, so many of the items can also be incorporated into mori girl and dolly kei outfits.

The latest collection had an overall Russian theme with rich colours and gold accents. More inspiration from various countries' historical ethnic dress is being added into the design mix, while earth toned mori themed pieces are still a staple.

Perianth POP!
This spin-off from Perianth came about as a creative outlet to make all things cute, eclectic, and a little weird. Perianth POP! features colours from soft adorable pastels to bright, eye-catching hues. The overall look is fun & doesn't take itself too seriously. Under this brand you can find the original, unique "two-tone" bloomers, where one leg could be, say, polka dot print and the other leg kitten print. If you're looking some something cute and one of a kind, check out Perianth POP!

Most items of both Perianth brands are one-off as I design, pattern, & sew the piece from beginning to end in my little South Jersey workroom. You're sure to get something very unique from Perianth!
