Hi, I'm Rosie, and I've been a toned-down sweet lolita for about three years now. My wardrobe will be transitioning toward Classic over this year (since I'm turning 30 in March, OMG that snuck up on me!), so it will be interesting to compare these clothes to next year's!
These were my early dream dresses from each major Sweet brand and my friends made me gorgeous accessories to match them, so of course I'll be keeping them for sentimental reasons. Meta Room Print, BTSSB Bunny Milk and Snow Strawberry, and AP French Cafe.
Black gingham is one of my favorite themes. AP Cross Ribbon OP, BTSSB Strawberry Letters JSK, Meta Sherlock JSK.
A-line JSKs - BTSSB Dessert Ribbon JSK and IW JSK that I forgot the name of even though I just got it in a Lucky Pack (cool story, bro).
BTSSB Waist Ribbon Scallop JSK, 3 colors. Back when I was a... I don't want to say plus-sized lolita, since I wasn't plus sized, but a size 8/10 one who could only fit L-size items, these were my absolute favorite items to wear. They're way too big for me now and haven't been selling, so I think I'm going to have them altered.
Pretty border-printed JSKs. BTSSB Alice Portrait Pearl JSK, AATP Victorian Cards II JSK (looks like an OP to me, though), and IW British Bear JSK.
Retro-themed JSKs. Meta Girly Note OP (sold as of a couple of days ago), Sweet Rococo poodles JSK, and Meta Vintage Record OP.
Casual JSKs for those times when less is more: IW Estelle JSK x 2 and AP denim salopette.
Okay, onto the skirts!
Bittersweet skirts: IW black skirt that totally looks like BTSSB, BTSSB Alice Maze skirt, Meta Cherry Gingham skirt (sold a couple of days ago).
Sax blue was my first sweet lolita color. Bodyline Poodles skirt (sold a couple of days ago), Meta Cat Prink skirt (also sold a couple of days ago), and BTSSB Chained Berry Memoir skirt.
Ivory-colored skirts: IW Bianca and Meta Candy House. I've found that cream/ivory/cafe au lait is tied with black as my most-worn colorway.
Sweet Rococo Strawberry Splendor skirt, IW Flora skirt, Meta Old Emblem skirt.
Here are my blouses. This post made me realize that most of my blouses are quite similar. I need to mix things up more. I also need a black blouse.
BTSSB, Meta, Sweet Rococo
Meta, Meta, BTSSB.
Knits:
All BTSSB. The sweater dress is my winter favorite!
Outers:
BTSSB, IW, BTSSB
Hats and Muffs:
BTSSB, Bodyline, Alice Doll, thrifted.
Oh, and I was wearing this one while I was taking pictures and forgot to include it (cool story, bro).
Parasols/umbrellas:
All Bodyline. I use these just as often with everyday clothes as with lolita.
Socks:
OMG SHOES:
Black shoes: Offbrand, Secret Shop, Bodyline.
All Bodyline. When I first got into lolita, these triple-ribbon shoes were my favorite design, so I bought them in all the colors.
Bodyline, BTSSB, Bodyline.
Bags:
Bodyline Boston bags.
Angelic Pretty, Swimmer, Peace Now.
DreamV
Wristcuffs/Gloves:
I keep all of my wristcuffs and gloves in this AP French Cafe pouch. Bunnykitty, BTSSB, Bunnykitty.
Gloves handmade by/embellished by my Grandma!
Hair accessories:
Sweet Rococo headbows (the poodles one got sold a couple of days ago). They're my favorite because they're so comfortable.
IW, BTSSB, offbrand, and handmade by friends headbows.
AP, Paradise Rose, chocomint, handmade by others bows.
SheenasBellaBows.
Rosettes and tiny hair pins made by non-lolita family and friends (except for the one with the pearl center, which I picked up for cheap at a swap meet). I think they did a great job!
Other accessories:
These are the types of necklaces I wear most. In general, I prefer metal accessories to plastic ones. In no particular order: Kenneth Jay Lane, Ophanim, ModCloth, Forever 21, Vintage.
Bracelets and watch. Liz Lisa, Betsey Johnson x 2, Forever 21.
2-way Chocomint clips. I don't wear these much anymore, but I do sometimes pin them to my outerwear during cold-season swap meets so nobody mistakes it as an item that's for sale (this actually happened to me at my first swap meet).
I got these in a Chocomint Lucky Pack when I was new to lolita. I don't wear them anymore, but it's so much trouble to sell small items that I still have them.
Chocomint, BTSSB novelties, and vintage pins.
Metal rings - my favorite kind! BTSSB, Jane Marple, Ophanim, ModCloth, Wet Seal. The pin is from BTSSB's Chained Berry Memoir series.
Deco rings. I know I have more than this, but these were the ones I had the most access to. Most of them are offbrand/handmade by friends, but there are a couple of Chocomint ones in there. I wear the rose ones a lot and the ribbon one occasionally, but the others don't get much use anymore.
I also have a lot of generic-looking accessories, like faux pearl strands, crystal solitaire rings in coordinating colors, etc. that I decided to leave out because they're kind of boring to look at.
As you probably noticed, a lot of my items were recently sold. I used them to buy this, which is on its way:
Hope you enjoyed!
