I'm sorry that I'm a day(two?) late. I had so many projects to finish up for school and my room was a mess ; u;
So without further ado, here's my room:
The door way that enters into my room.
Onto the left side of my room there's my bed and my writing desk.
Here's a frontal view of the desk. The upper shelf has decorations, the second shelf has my miniature books that I'm currently reading, and my bottom shelf has more decorations...
A better view of my knickknacks all in one spot.
My top shelf. Majority of my decor are found or given as a gift. I rarely ever buy my decor because I could never find anything I like if I try to go out and buy one.. haha
One of my pride and joy. This beautiful carriage was part of a broken lamp that someone threw out. I don't understand how could anyone throw out something so beautiful as this? ; A;
The back part of my desk is lined with craft paper that I found at my school's art store. It took me foreveerrrr to find something that was Victorian-esque and large enough to cover the board. It's so much more pretty than leaving it plain and boring.
There's also my jewelery cabinet that I found at a garage sale. When the bottom drawer opens it plays a beautiful melody. The dolly and the bone-china tea cups I found recently at a thrift store upstate. I haven't decided where I'll put it yet so for now it's sitting on my desk.
Across from my bed is my wooden cabinet.
I have basically dollies on every single piece of furniture that's in this apartment. It just livens up and creates textural detailing to a normally flat surface. Majority of my white dollies are hand made.
A closer look at the mirror and the decor around it.
My other two pride and joys. The mini vase on the left is from the 1800s that was given to me. The perfume bottle on the right was thrown out... once again. It's such an adorable perfume bottle with little cherubs around it.
The radiator and my lace curtains. My father built a wooden cover for my radiator. I have probably over 15 different curtains thanks to my mother who has an obsession with pretty curtains.
A better view of the detailing.
To the right of my room is another cabinet and my closet.
I wasn't going to take a photo of my cabinet since there's so much I need to fix up on it.
The cabinet I had since I was younger and the nostalgia is preventing me from throwing it out.
I'm probably going to re-paint it over the summer and find new handles for it.
The other pair. This one unfortunately has a broken door...
It makes me sad every time I think about it... ; n;
The upper shelf.
The lower shelf.
I placed the rest of my decorations away in boxes when I was obsessively cleaning my room earlier this year that I never took them out again. The shelves are looking a bit sparse so I still need to fix them up.
The back is also lined with paper. It was such a lucky find since it was the only one in the store and that it's big enough to fit the back of my shelves. It's really pretty with a slight golden accents.
My closet... that is a huge mess right now...
I live with my parents in a small apartment but I have a lot of say into what we buy when it comes to furniture and large decorations now a days. My mother usually likes it when I help pick out things since she says I have an eye for these type of things.. and she loves antique/victorian type of settings as well. This is the table for the living room. What makes it so special is that the table cover is a gigantic dollie made by hand as well. It took 3 months to finish!
I would show the rest of the apartment but it's a mess right now and that we need to buy new furniture after the walls are painted... Haha . u."""
I hope you enjoyed a tour of my room!
